<p>Syftet med kartläggningsstudien är att undersöka om frivilligorganisationerna, som endast beviljades projektpengar för alkohol- och drogförebyggande arbete under åren 2003-2004, har fortsatt med projekten efter projekttidens slut, hur eventuella fortsatta projekt finansieras nu samt om projektledarna finns kvar i verksamheten. För att uppnå detta syfte valdes en deskriptiv, kvantitativ forskningsmetod. Kartläggningsfrågor i enkätform skickades via e-post ut till intervjupersoner inom de aktuella frivilligorganisationerna.</p><p>Av tio svarande frivilligorganisationer uppgav åtta stycken att projektverksamheten än idag drivs i någon form. Projektverksamheterna finansieras idag med bidrag, inkomster från aktiviteter utförda av den egna verksamheten, samt pengar från den egna frivilligorganisationen. Arbetet drivs också helt ideellt eller finansieras genom att organisationen tar betalt för de tjänster som utförs. Alla projektledarna finns idag kvar inom frivilligorganisationerna.</p><p>Syftet med fördjupningsstudien är att undersöka vad frivilligorganisationerna förmedlar att projektpengarna fört med sig till, och haft för betydelse för deras alkohol- och drogförebyggande arbete, samt om de upplever att deltagandet bidragit med något till deras alkohol- och drogförebyggande arbete på längre sikt. Syftet är också att undersöka vad som anses ha gjort en fortsättning av projektverksamheten möjlig samt uppfattningen om denna typ av finansiering. För att uppnå studiens syfte valdes att göra kvalitativa intervjuer. Telefonintervjuer genomfördes med sju respondenter.</p><p>Projektsatsningen uppgavs ha haft positiv påverkan på det samarbete som frivilligorganisationerna hade med andra aktörer, på samma sätt som på utbytet av erfarenheter med andra frivilligorganisationer. Kunskap ansågs vara en komponent som tillförts frivilligorganisationerna under projektsatsningen, genom utbyte av erfarenhet med andra organisationer. Nya metoder kunde prövas och möjligheten att kunna nå ut till fler med frivilligorganisationens alkohol- och drogförebyggande arbete upplevdes. Pengarna uppgavs praktiskt ha underlättat arbetet, och ha medfört en större frihet att kunna planera. Negativa sidor som uppgavs med projektfinansieringen var svårigheter med kontinuitet och planering, i och med korta finansieringsperioder, samt risken att arbetet ständigt befinner sig i en inledande fas utan att på allvar starta upp. Engagemang från medlemmar och ungdomarna som verksamheten riktar sig mot uppgavs vara faktorer som gjort att frivilligorganisationernas alkohol- och drogförebyggande arbete kunnat fortsätta. Fortsatt hjälp med finansieringen och det faktum att tjänsterna som utförs är avgiftsbelagda var andra faktorer, tillsammans med vikten av att besitta en förmåga att kunna utföra arbetet trots att mängden resurser varierar.</p> / <p>The aim of the first part of this study, the survey study, was to examine whether the voluntary organizations, that was granted project funds for alcohol and drug prevention work during the years of 2003-2004, have continued with the projects after the end of the project period, how the projects that have continued are financed and if the project leaders remain in the project activity. To achieve this aim a descriptive quantitative research method was chosen. Survey questions were sent by e-mail to respondents within the voluntary organizations in question.</p><p>Eight out of ten respondents answered that the project activity still remains to some extend. The project activities are financed with subsidies, incomes from the project activity and with money from the voluntary organization itself. The work is also non-profit or financed by the incomes from services that the voluntary organization offers. All the project leaders still remain in the voluntary organizations.</p><p>The aim of the other part of this study was to examine what the voluntary organisations mediate that the project fund has contributed to, and has meant to their alcohol and drug prevention work, and also if they experience that the participation has contributed with anything to their alcohol and drug prevention work in a long term. The aim was also to examine what is thought to have enabled a continuation of the project activity and what the respondents think about this kind of financing. To achieve this aim qualitative interview were chosen as method. Telephone interviews were carried out on seven respondents.</p><p>The project participation was mediated to have had a positive influence on the cooperation that the voluntary organizations had with other actors in the society, as on the exchange of experiences with other voluntary organizations. Knowledge was one component that was mediated to have contributed to the organization by this exchange. The possibility to try new methods, for the alcohol and drug prevention work, was given as the possibility to reach out to more people. The money was felt to have facilitated the work in a practical way and to have resulted in a bigger freedom to plan for the activities. Negative sides of the project funding, with short project periods, was the difficulties to achieve continuity and to plan, as the risk that the work always is in a state of preparation and never really starts. Involvement in the project activities from the members, and from the adolescents that the project activities were aimed for, were factors that were thought to have enabled the continuation of the alcohol and drug prevention work. Continued financing help and the fact that the services offered are charged were other factors, as the organizations to have the ability to be able to perform the activities although the amount of money vary.</p>
