<p>Outsourcing har länge varit en effektiv form av företagsstyrning. De senaste decennierna har outsourcing dock genomgått en rad förändringar och en av de största nyheterna inom branschen är outsourcing av ekonomifunktionen.</p><p>Vårt syfte med denna uppsats har varit att öka kunskapen om outsourcing av ekonomifunktionen i följande avseenden: vi vill identifiera de faktorer som bidrar till att outsourcing av en ekonomifunktion blir framgångsrik samt urskilja de negativa faktorer som kan vara förknippade med outsourcing. Slutligen ämnar vi belysa vilka fördelar som kan anföras med outsourcing av ekonomifunktionen.</p><p>För att besvara studiens syfte studerades vetenskapliga artiklar och litteratur rörande ämnet. Dessutom gjordes fem intervjuer med personer insatta i problematiken kring outsourcing av ekonomifunktionen för att ge oss en djupare förståelse kring ämnet.</p><p>Genom undersökningen kan vi konstatera att de faktorer som är avgörande för att outsourcing av en ekonomifunktion ska bli framgångsrik är relationen mellan kund och leverantör. En bra relation och kommunikation leder till en annan viktig faktor vilken är att kunden känner tillit till leverantören. Vidare är det av stor vikt att leverantören är flexibel gentemot kunden och har denne i fokus. Slutligen är det betydelsefullt att leverantören ständigt arbetar för att förbättra sin verksamhet och kvaliteten på tjänsterna. De fördelar som outsourcingen kan medföra är tidsbesparing, ökad konkurrenskraft samt ökad lönsamhet. De negativa faktorer som finns är att företaget outsourcar ekonomifunktionen som är en central och kritisk funktion i företaget. Dessutom kan kunden uppleva kontrollförlust, att svarstiderna är för långa samt att informationen är bristfällig. Dessutom upplevs att leverantören inte är insatt i kundens verksamhet och därmed inte kan uppfylla kundens behov.</p> / <p>Financial outsourcing has for quite some time been an efficient mode of corporate governance. In the last few decades, outsourcing has gone through a number of changes and the biggest news is the financial outsourcing.</p><p>The purpose of this thesis has been to increase the knowledge of financial outsourcing as follows: we would like to identify the factors making financial outsourcing successful and also identify the factors that can be critical in outsourcing the financial function. Finally, we would like to highlight what positive effects outsourcing the financial function can have.</p><p>To meet the purpose of this thesis, scientific reports, papers and literature dealing with outsourcing were studied. Also, five interviews were made with people working closely with outsourcing of the business process function to gain a deeper understanding of the subject.</p><p>We have come to the conclusion that the relation between the client and the supplier is of outmost importance if the outsourcing is to prove successful. Good communication between the supplier and the client will hopefully develop a mutual trust between the parties. It is also of great importance that the supplier is flexible towards the client and always puts the client’s needs in focus. Finally, it is important that the supplier is constantly trying to improve the quality of the service she provides.</p><p>The positive effects that outsourcing may carry is time saving, competitive advantages and increased profitability. The fact that the financial function is a central and very important part of a company can be highlighted as one of the critical factors of outsourcing. The client can experience loss of control and lack of information regarding the company’s financial function. Insufficient knowledge in the core business from the supplier’s side can lead to the supplier not being able to fulfil the needs of the client.</p>
