Processkartläggning : Det nödvändiga förarbetet inför implementering av ett affärssystem

<p>During the last decades the local business as well as the multinational organization hasexperienced prominent changes in the technical field. The requirements for reaching newmarkets and achieving higher efficiency in daily work have risen to a whole new level. Totake advantage of the possibilities of IT the user has to be aware of the company’s businessactivities, what shortcomings and chances of development exist today. This is what makes itinteresting to depict the current situation of the company’s business. The purpose of thisstudy is to create a picture of the prerequisites of a company lacking an integratedenterprise system but at the prospect of implementing one. This is visualised by a map out.To be able to make an interpretation of reality as relevant as possibly the authors chose tomake a case study where the object of the study is AgnTho’s AB. The authors have spent aperiod of time with the company in the purpose of gathering information throughobservations and close encounter with the employees. The gathered information is whatsubstantiates the map out of business processes and also the assortment resulting in a closerstudy of the process of handling an order. These results are the foundation of the authors’analysis. The authors have by using the first two phases in Business Process Reengineeringbeen able to visualise the main processes of AgnTho’s organization. Through the moreintense analysis of the process of handling an order two main problem areas where spotted,namely the following‐up activities and the formalization of routines.</p>
