På Högskolan i Gävle ges kursen Geografisk Informationsteknik І med laborationer som utförs i bl.a. programmen ArcGIS 9.2, 9.3 och i ArcView 3.3. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att uppdatera dessa laborationers handledningar och anpassa dem till den nya versionen ArcGIS 10. I sex av sju laborationer har handledningarna uppdaterats från ArcMap 9.2 och 9.3, och den sjunde har i stort sett helt skrivits om från ArcView 3.3. De tidigare handledningarna har använts som vägledning för att producera de nya handledningarna. I kursen finns ett antal kursmål som ska ingå i laborationerna som även har varit riktlinjer för handledningarna. I arbetet beskrivs också förändringar och uppdateringar som skett i ArcGIS 10. Den nya versionen av ArcGIS har bl.a. fått ett uppdaterat användargränssnitt. Tillgängligheten är en stor förändring i form av utökad möjlighet att använda programvaran. Det är möjligt att använda programvaran via webben och ute i fält samt genom mobilen. Resultatet består av de sju uppdaterade handledningarna och kommentarer till förändringar som gjorts i dem. Slutsatsen som kan dras av arbetet är att alla handledningar är kompletta och genomförbara med godkänt resultat. / At the University of Gävle the course Geographic InformationІis given with practicals performed in the software ArcGIS 9.2, 9.3 and ArcView 3.3. The purpose of this work has been to update these tutorials and adapt them to the new version ArcGIS 10. Six of seven practical manuals have been updated from ArcMap 9.2 and 9.3, and the seventh has been almost totally rewritten from ArcView 3.3. The earlier guides have been used as a guide to produce the new guides. The syllabus has also been used to ensure that all objectives are met in the practicals. These goals have been the guidelines for the guides. The work describes the changes and updates in ArcGIS. One of the changes in the new version of ArcGIS is the updated interface. Accessibility is a major change in the form of increased availability. It is possible to use the software virtually anywhere, by the web, in the field and by mobile. The result consists of the seven updated tutorials and comments for changes made to them. The conclusion from the work is that all the manuals are complete and workable with approved results.
