Krematoriet kommer att utgöra en övergång genom dess huvudsakliga uppgift, kroppen som blir till aska. Min strävan är att byggnaden och behandlingen av landskapet som omger den genom arkitekturen blir till övergång med hänsyn till flera aspekter, tillgodoser mötet mellan det oförenliga. Härigenom uppnås byggnadens specifika behov på samma gång som övergången artar sig just tack vare byggnaden. Utifrån byggnadens allvar, vardaglighet, omgivning och insida har jag försökt låta rationalitet och hänsyn avgöra formen. Gestaltningsvalen eftersträvar enkelthet och tillmötesgående. / The crematorium means transition through its main purpose, the transformation from a body to ashes. I’ve set out to use architecture to shape the building and the surrounding landscape as a passage from on state to another, in order to merge the fragmentary state of the site as well as the building’s program. A strive to meet the specific needs of the building while the passage can take form through the building. Rational consideration has deciphered the result in the attempt to tie together parameters such as life, death, inside, outside, city, cemetery, the trivial and the tragedy.
