Samverkan som Problemlösning : En Undersökning av den Samverkansprocess som Berör Barn och Ungas Psykiska Hälsa / Collaboration as Problem Solving : A Study of the Collaborative Process that Affects the Mental Health of Children and Young People

This thesis aims to provide a deeper understanding of how collaboration between different authorities and organizations works in the capacity of solving problems. The empirical example that the study is based on is the collaborative process that aims to work with and improve the mental health of children and young people. The focus is on understanding the conditions and challenges that can occur within this type of work. Furthermore it strives to seek answers to how the theoretical dimension of collaboration relates to reality. To answer the research questions, the study uses concepts such as collaboration theory and qualitative method in the form of interviews.  Results show several prerequisites and challenges within the collaboration process that affects the mental health of children and young people. Communication is for example a tool that is used extensively, but which can also cause some difficulties within the joint work. It can also be stated that the collaboration process that has been investigated as a whole has a close connection to the theoretical account of how collaboration works. However, the interviewees' stories highlight some practical elements that are not part of the theoretical understanding of how collaboration works, for example that it can be challenging to create a routine and independent collaboration.
