Högläsning och den tidiga läsinlärningen : En studie om högläsning i den första årskursen

The aim of this study was to investigate how and why three elementary school teachers use read-alouds as part of their everyday instruction. The questions at issue discuss the teachers’ intention with the read-aloud activities, their choice of appropriate books and texts, how their read-aloud carry trough and what possible correlation is visible between the read-aloud activity and pupils’ interest in reading and reading comprehension. The method to collect the data was a combination of observation and interviews. During the observations the purpose was to observe how the teachers’ read-aloud practice occurs and which activities that follows. The interview followed the observations with questions about the teachers’ thoughts and opinions of the subject. The findings shows that the teachers’ intention with their read-aloud practice is to elaborate the pupils craze for reading, their reading comprehension and their reading strategies. They all agree that reading aloud to children is significant.
