Genus i deckare : En studie om deckargenrens potential i undervisningen ur ett genusperspektiv

This essay examines how crime fiction can be used in the teaching of values in the Swedish upper secondary school. Three crime books from the bestseller list 2019 has been analysed using gender theory and a didactic literature theory. The three books are The Girl Who Lived Twice (2019) by David Lagercrantz, Lazarus (2018) by Lars Kepler and The golden cage (2019) by Camilla Läckberg. The books have been analyzed from a holistic perspective and with Maria Nikolajevas list over male and female characteristics. The result shows that there is both sterotypics portraits and normbreaking descriptions. The value system hold that the school shall promote equality between the sex and the school shall counteract stereotypical perceptions and help the pupils to become unique individuals. Based on theories by Louise M. Rosenblatt and Gunilla Molloy it suggest using crime fiction as possibility to discuss genus in the classroom.
