Semi-structured interviews were performed with nine nurses working in advanced palliative home care. Nurse’s experience of working from the philosophy of care in palliative home care did largely agree with previous research and literature. The main difficulties of working in palliative care were when patients were still suffering despite large doses of pain relief and relation problems in the patient’s family.
