The report covers research on rapidly rising diagnosis rates of ADHD, including possible reasons, competing perspectives, and key issues related to the increasing diagnosis. The evidence suggests that the precautionary principle is increasingly rare among the occupations that are central for the diagnosis of the condition. Historical and social scientific aspects of the disorder may give a different picture than the dominant and widespread definition, which is understood solely in a medical context with a focus on pharmacology.
