Denna studie undersöker effekterna av investeringssparkonton (ISK) på noterade aktiers och fondandelars värde. ISK är en skatteförmånlig sparform som infördes i Sverige år 2012. Studien använder difference-in-difference metoden på kvartalsdata över värdet på noterade aktier och fondandelar i EU:s medlemsländer från år 2009 till år 2020. Mina resultat tyder på att värdet på noterade aktier och fondandelar har ökat sedan införandet av ISK. Jag finner att värdet på noterade aktier och fondandelar placerade utanför ISK har minskat. Statistiskt signifikanta effekter av ISK efter år 2015 kunde inte hittas. Dessa resultat tyder på att införandet av ISK har ökat värdet på sparande men också har lett till flytt av tillgångar från konventionella sparformer till ISK. Resultaten är mycket känsliga för ett antal antaganden och bör tolkas med stor försiktighet. / This study attempts to estimate the effects of ISK, a form of saving accounts, introduced in Sweden in 2012, on the value of listed shares and shares in equity and investment funds. The study uses the difference-in-difference method on quarterly data of the value of listed shares and shares in equity and investment funds in EU member states from 2009 to 2020 to estimate the effects of ISK. The results of the study indicate that the value of listed shares and shares in equity and investment funds has increased since ISK was introduced. The value of listed shares and shares in equity and investment funds placed outside ISK has decreased. Statistically significant effects of ISK from 2015 could not be found. These results indicate that the introduction of ISK has increased the value of savings but also led to a shift of capital from conventional saving accounts to ISK. The results of this study are very sensitive to a number of assumptions and should be interpreted with caution.
