Den här studien undersöker sambandet mellan avkastningen på ett brett marknadsindex för aktier och bruttonationalprodukten (BNP), benämnt som börsvärdeskvoten. Även utvecklingen av marknadens generella riskpremie studeras. Tidsperioden täcker åren 1870–2021. Resultaten visar ett signifikant negativt samband för börsvärdeskvoten och finansiell kris. Studiens resultat för riskpremien och finansiellkris visar att det finns ett signifikant negativt samband för perioden 1871–2020. Studien dokumenterar en positiv riskpremie på 3,5 procent för hela perioden; dock med en kraftig variation, från –50,5 procent till 64,2 procent. Avslutningsvis visar studien att börsvärdekvoten ökat kraftigt sedan 1980-talet med en högsta nivå på 2,6 gånger det samlade värdet av BNP och avser kalenderåret 2000.[1] / This study explores the correlation between the quota of total market capitalization index of Sweden and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), titled total market capitalization quota. It also examines the development of the general equity risk premium for the Swedish stock market. During the period 1870-2021. The result indicates a significant negative correlation of the total market capitalization quota and financial crisis during the period 1975-2021. The result for the equity risk premium indicates a significant negative correlation to financial crisis for the regression for the whole period (1871-2021). The study shows a general positive equity risk premium of 3,5 precent for the whole period. Although a high deviation between -50,5 to 64,2 precent. In conclusion the study concludes a rapid increase in the total market capitalization quota after 1980 and with the highest value of 2,6 times the aggregated GDP by expenditure in 2000
