Mediální proměny Pepiny Rejholcové / Media transformations of Pepina Rejholsova

Škopková, Andrea January 2017 (has links)
The work reflects one of the most popular fictional character of the first half of the 1930s, Pepina Rejholcová. Pepina Rejholcová, whose author Frantisek Voborsky, an important personality of Czech comics, has appeared in the Czech press at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s - first as a side character of humorous drawings or illustrations for popular song lyrics. Soon after, she reappeared on the silver screen, on pages of children's books, or in children's rooms in the form of toys and sweets. The transformations of the originally illustrated archetype caused by the switch among the various media are the center of interest for this work. In this context, the aspects of intermediality and transmediality are examined, both in special and general terms. It is mainly the extent to which the originally cartoon character changes, and whether the content of the message, the narrative patterns and the concept of humor is changing as well. In broader context, the work is a contribution to the theme of media and institutional integration. The work is divided into five parts and a conclusion. The first part outlines the theoretical viewpoints, the second part is devoted to Pepina Rejholcova's character, the third part reflects media representations, the fourth discusses essential characteristics of typical...

It approaches the history of the place, social, economic and demographic aspects for a defined period, which is important to outline for understanding the linkages with the press. The first part of the thesis presents the basic data about the locality from a geographic and historical point of view. It also shows the period after the First World War, the emergence of Czechoslovakia and the new delimitation of the state borders associated with the change of status of the German population in the border area, the thirties of the twentieth century and the Second World War, after which the redefinition of the frontiers of Czechoslovakia took place. Then the end of the Second World War and the demographic change in the Sudetes, the crucial year of 1948 and the onset of the communist regime, are mapped out. In the next part of the thesis, we are going to research periodicals in the context of historical events. Firstly, print is described in the inter-war period. Politické vlivy působící na československý Radiojournal v období druhé republiky / Political influences on Czechoslovak Radiojournal between September 1938 and March 1939

Veverka, Luboš January 2011 (has links)
In the present work we strive to describe those political phenomena which influenced, directly or indirectly, Radiojournal Ltd., the only radio broadcaster in Czechoslovakia during 1923 - 1939. However, it is the period of the so-called 'second republic' that can be approximately set between the conclusion of the Munich Pact at the end of September 1938 and the occupation of the rest of Czechoslovakia on 15th March 1939, which is in the centre of our attention. At that time, the system of politics, power and social situation underwent a reconstitution marked above all by centralising efforts hand in hand with the suppression of liberal and democratic principles. Sometimes we talk about the so-called 'authoritative democracy'. Radiojournal could not escape these changes. Formally, it was a private company with 51 % of shares owned by the state. And civil servants or politicians themselves were members of the managing and supervisory bodies of this institution ever since 1925. This situation was maintained also during the 'second republic' when the grip of the state became even stronger. In the new situation, proposals were made to nationalize the institution. However, a number of changes were not implemented after all due to the short duration of the 'second republic's' domain. Many of these...

This Master thesis contributes to the history of science in the period of the Czechoslovak communist regime. The thesis deals with the attempts to create a scientific theory of propaganda as an independent branch of science. The main goal of this thesis is to present what led to the formation of the Marxist theory of propaganda, describe its development and potential changes in the approach to propaganda during the reference period. Further goals are to describe the sources of the theory of propaganda, the concern of the official institutions and the people who dealt with propaganda. The research is based on the archive materials from the National Archives of the Czech republic and the Slovak National Archives, and on the works about the theory of propaganda. The central figure of this thesis is Miloslav Chlupáč, who dealt with the theory of propaganda in the whole reference period and who was influential to the most phases of the development of the theory of propaganda. The reference period begins with the changes in the society after the year of 1948, with the main concern being science, education and propaganda; and first contributions to the theory of propaganda, which were based on the socio-political situation in the 1950s. Hospodářský vývoj Československa v letech 1945 až 1948 / Economic Development of Czechoslovakia in the Years 1945-1948

Pazdera, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the economic development of Czechoslovakia after 1945 up to the political takeover in 1948, when communists finally assumed power. The work offers the view of Czech economy influenced by the experience of the Great Depression in the 1930s, occupation and the transformation of economic thinking in Europe. The main concern is to answer the questions to what extend the post-war reconstruction was successful, what the political conditions of the changes in our economy were and which economic results they produced. The land reform, final solution of German question by the expulsion of Germans, nationalisation of industry, codification of two-year economic plan and refusal of the Marshall plan are considered to be the key points. The allience with the Soviet Union played an important role too. The main conclusion of the work is that, in Czechoslovakia, the successful transformation from war economy to a mixed economy, in which the main role of the state was supplemented by a private sector, was accomplished. The existence of different alternatives of development, which could not be realized because of the increasing influence of communists in the government, is considered to be the key factor for the economic development in the years 1945-1948.
