Tvorba Dashboardu v MS PerformancePoint 2007 / Creating a Dashboard in MS Office PerformancePoint Server 2007Dolejší, Vojtěch January 2008 (has links)
The main task of this diploma paper was to evaluate the product "Microsoft Office Performance Server 2007" in terms of its usability for creating web dashboards. During the work, theoretical bases for the area of creating dashboards have been formed, suitable methodics for evaluating the product have been proposed and last but not least, some exemplary data have also been processed. The work can therefore be divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the beginning of the first part, the diploma paper introduces the most important facts from the areas of Business Intelligence a Corporate Performance Management. These facts are the most important starting points when creating dashboards. Following in this part is the dashboard technology itself. The analysis of current evaluating criteria for creating dashboards, and the creation of new criteria are the most important points of this diploma paper. The introduced criteria and their way of use have been designed concerning the various conditions and presumptions in organizations where the application of a dashboard is considered. The last chapter of the theoretical part then introduces the product "Microsoft Office Performance Point Server 2007". In the practical part of the paper, particular data is processed into a dashboard using the mentioned tool. The data used are data of a fictive firm which are used in the teaching subject Business Intelligence at the Economic University in Prague. The process of work with PPS 2007 is described rather in detail. This work can therefore be potentionally put to use also as a case study. In the conclusion, PPS 2007 is evaluated using the proposed criteria, whereas verbal commentary is added to each evaluation. For potential organizations which consider purchasing the product, conditions are added under which the purchase is recommendable.

The presentation of information in carsGaler, Margaret January 1985 (has links)
Considerable effort has been put into the development of display technologies such as liquid crystal displays, vacuum fluorescent displays, CRTs and so on. In the aviation field in particular, much ergonomics effort has been expended on specific aspects of the display technology such as the contrast ratios, effects of glare, font and so on. However, very little is known about the ergonomics aspects of new display technology applications in cars. In a series of experiments reported in this thesis three electronic display designs for a car instrument panel comprising speedometer, tachometer and minor gauges were tested by potential users.

Success is something different for every organisation and Business Intelligence can be a tool to achieve success. Today big data is everywhere and organisations are starting to use these data and transform it to information. Information has always been valuable and from an organisational view now more than ever. Transforming data into information is critical, due to the fact that it’s a lot of data to consider. To acquire information, visualization of data may be useful. Dashboards can help in the process but it isn’t an easy task. Instead of putting focus on the problem and the underlying factors, this study intends to investigate the success factors that can be the base for the use of a successful dashboard as a Business Intelligence tool. Previous research shows that there is no legitimate framework for success factors in Business Intelligence tools and dashboards. Through a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews, we examine what users perceive as the most important factors for a successful dashboard. This is done with a Business Intelligence focus. The study shows that the major success factors when using a dashboard is purpose, data quality, organisational knowledge and context. These factors will hopefully lead to success when using a dashboard.

Kritéria hodnocení nástrojů pro tvorbu dashboardů v řešeních BI / Evaluation `s criteria of the tools for creation dashboards in BI solutionsChrást, Tomáš January 2008 (has links)
Extensive solutions of Business Intelligence consist of wide range of projects. One of them is generating of reporting layer whose part is setting of dashboards. This diploma thesis deals with dashboards and tools serving to their formation. In the first part of the thesis there is explained the theory of dashboards in current company informatics. Consequently there is created a set of evaluative criteria helping with mutual comparison of the tool for the forming of dashboards, which is the primary aim of the thesis. In the last part of the thesis there is a presentation and evaluation of one selected tool (Dashboard Designer) according to the criteria stated in the thesis. During the evaluation of the tool it is possible to verify some of the criteria on the basis of practical experience. That is why the demonstrative implementation of Dashboard Designer over the test data is shown. Thus the second aim of the diploma thesis is completed. Aforementioned targets are achieved on account of pieces of knowledge about dashboards coming especially from the literature published by authorities in the line of business and from background research concerned with contemporary approach to the evaluation of tool for the forming of dashboards. In addition to formed criteria this diploma thesis can be instrumental to further discussion about dashboards and their role in current company informatics.

Rapid growing volumes of data demands new solutions in terms of analysing and visualizing. The growing amount of data contains valuable information which organizations in a more digitized society need to manage. It is a major challenge to visualize data, both in a static and interactive way. Through visualization of big data follows several opportunities containing risk assessment and decision basis. Previous research indicates a lack of standards and guidelines considering the development of interactive dashboards. By studying factors of success from a user-centered perspective we proceeded with a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews. In addition to this we performed a thorough examination of existing literature in this particular field of research. A total of eight interviews were held, all eight respondents had experience from using or developing dashboards. The results indicates that user experience is an important yet not a sufficiently used principle. They also indicates challenges concerning the management of big data and particularly visualizing it. The results developed into a model which illustrates guidelines and vital components to orchestrate when developing a dashboard. A user-centered approach should pervade the entire developing process. Interactive functionalities are rather a necessity than a recommendation. With interactiveness comes drill-down functionalities which leads to a more intuitively practice. User experience is an essential component of the model, bringing light to individual customisations as well as it makes allowances to a large target group. The last component highlights the importance of early prototyping and an iterative approach to software development. The conclusion of the study is our complete model which brings opportunities to transform big data to great knowledge.

Dashboard för kirurgiska avdelningar / Dashboard for surgical wardsHaglund, Carl, Söderholm, Gustaf, Wase, Jonathan, Al-Hashimi, Mustafa, Norsbo, My, Skoglund, Oskar, Wrede, Simon January 2019 (has links)

Beyond Strategic Control: Applying the Balanced Scorecard to a Religious OrganizationKeyt, John C. 01 January 2001 (has links)
Kaplan and Norton have provided a framework to link control to an organization's vision-the balanced scorecard. This approach provides measures in four areas: (1) Customer, (2) Internal Business, (3) Innovation and Learning and (4) Financial. This article provides a starting point in adapting this method to a church by looking at four measurement perspectives: (1) Members/Attenders, (2) Internal Ministry Processes, (3) Ministering, and (4) Innovation and Learning. An example is then developed using a church's mission and visio.
