Magnetic hysteresis modelling using knowledge based engineering techniques

Saghafifar, Mahmoud January 2004 (has links)
Magnetic hysteresis modelling plays a crucial role in determining the electromagnetic properties of soft magnetic materials. A new approach to modelling is the use of recurrent neural networks, capable of time dependent, dynamic, sequential mapping. This research investigates the implementation and accuracy of this approach among other available hysteresis models. / thesis (MEng(ElectronicsEngineering))--University of South Australia, 2004.

On the solvability of groups and loops

Myllylä, K. (Kari) 11 January 2003 (has links)
Abstract The dissertation consists of three articles in which the solvability of groups and the solvability of loops are considered. The first parts of the thesis survey some basic information and results on transversals and loops. The summarizing parts provide the three main results for the solvability of groups and loops.

DESIGN OF A PARALLEL MULTI-CHANNEL BPSK DIRECT-SEQUENCE SPREAD-SPECTRUM RECEIVER

Sanzhong, Li, Qishan, Zhang, Cheng, L L 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 27-30, 1997 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / A parallel multi-channel receiver for binary phase shift keyed (BPSK) direct-sequence (DS) spread-spectrum (SS) is introduced in this paper. It adopts a Costas carrier frequency-tracking loop which maintains frequency lock rather than phase lock, and the delay-lock error can be noncoherently obtained to track the PN code. For airborne applications, this method will extend effectively the receiver’s tracking dynamics range for the carrier Doppler shift. A erasable programmable logic device (EPLD) is applied to get the advantage of smaller size and higher flexibility. A high speed microprocessor (TMS320C30) which acts as the processing unit of the receiver is used for acquiring and tracking of the carrier and PN code by digital signal processing algorithms. This receiver is more flexible and is easily improved by reconfiguring the EPLD and modifying the software algorithms. Its fundamental principle is described in the paper.

Half-Isomorfismos de loops automórficos / Half-isomorphisms of automorphic loops

Anjos, Giliard Souza dos 09 March 2018 (has links)
Automorphic loops, or A-loops, are loops in which every inner mapping is an automorphism. This variety of loops includes groups and commutative Moufang loops. Dihedral automorphic loops form a class of A-loops, constructed from the duplication of finite abelian groups, that generalizes the construction of the dihedral group. Another class of A-loops is the Lie automorphic loops, constructed from Lie rings, where a new operation between its elements is defined. A half-isomorphism is a bijection f between loops L and L\' where, for any x and y belong to L, we have that f(xy) belongs to the set {f(x)f(y),f(y)f(x)}. We say that half-isomorphism f is non trivial when f is neither an isomorphism nor an anti-isomorphism. In this thesis, we describe properties of half-isomorphisms of loops, we classify the half-isomorphisms between dihedral automorphic loops and we obtain the group of half-automorphisms in this class. For the Lie automorphic loops of odd order, we show that every half-automorphism is trivial.

Onshagen, Nicole, Palmberg, Maria January 2012 (has links)

A low Jitter Wide-range Delay-Locked Loop with the Rail to Rail Differential Multi Control Delay Line Implementation

Tsai, Yi-Sing 12 August 2010 (has links)
A Rail to Rail Differential Control Delay Line using multi-band technology can provide wider range on a delay-locked loop (DLL) is proposed in this thesis. Delay-Locked Loops (DLLs) have been widely used for clock deskew instead of Phase-Locked Loop (PLLs) because of easy design and inherent stable. The main object of this thesis is the description and discussion in Delay-Locked Loop and Rail to Rail Differential Control Delay Line; uses TSMC 0.18£gm 1P6M CMOS process to design a 70 MHz¡ã750 MHz DLL and the supply voltage is 1.8V. This thesis is characterized by utilizing rail to rail input to reduce noise interference and enhance the signal integrity¡]low distortion, low noise, low power and high gain¡^.By the phase selection circuit is used to extend operation frequency. The operate frequency range of DLL is 70MHz to 750MHz, the power consumption of the Entire system is less than 32mW. The phase error is 10 ps at 70MHz and <10 ps at 750MHz in lock. The proposed DLL can provide wider range and lower jitter in this thesis.
