[pt] Este trabalho apresenta uma nova formulação para o problema de Aproximações de Funções Racionais e Polinomiais do Módulo ao Quadrado de Filtros em termos da teoria de otimização. Um estudo das Funções Racionais de Chebyshev é apresentado. Ele inclui como casos especiais o Filtro Elíptico e o Filtro Misto, com 4 (quatro) graus de planura na origem e no infinito. Em adição, uma técnica que utiliza a Função Geradora é usada para dois casos específicos do problema do Filtro Misto. / [en] This work presents a new formulation for the Polynomial and Rational Function Approximations of the Square Magnitude Response of Filters in terms of optimization theory. A study of Chebyshev Rational Functions is presented. This includes as special cases the Elliptic Filter and the Mixed Filter, which has 4 (four) degrees of flatness at the origin and at infinity. In addition, a technique using the method of Function Generation is used to solve two special cases of the Mixed Filter problem.
