No. of bitstreams: 1 texto completo.pdf: 551976 bytes, checksum: fd45254f383924d3b2934b6a84a9137e (MD5) Previous issue date: 2000-12-12 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Avaliou-se o comportamento de variedades e de clones em três épocas de corte (1 a época - maio, 2 a época - julho e 3 a época - setembro), em três locais e três cortes consecutivos, por meio de experimentos conduzidos pelo Programa de Melhoramento Genético da Cana-de-Açúcar da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, na Zona da Mata de Minas Gerais. Para isso, foram utilizadas 20 variedades diferentes, somando-se a cada uma das três localidades avaliadas 12 genótipos, com a repetibilidade de alguns materiais entre locais e outros não. As variedades selecionadas para a 1 a época foram RB739359, SP79-1011 e RB867515; para a 2 a época, RB855536, RB867515 e SP79-1011; e para 3 a época, RB867515, SP79-1011 e RB72454. Houve alta repetibilidade dos ranques das variedades de 2 a época com as de 3 a época e baixa repetibilidade dos ranques da 1 a época com a 3 a época, em relação às características TCH e TPH. As correlações indicaram que os ensaios de manejo poderiam ser realizados apenas em duas épocas, isto é, cortes em abril/maio e julho/agosto. A habilidade de brotação foi mais bem estimada na época de corte de julho, com relação à característica TCH. / The behavior of varieties and clones in three harvest times (May, July and Septemberr) was evaluated in three localities and for three serial harvests by means of experiments carried out by the Sugar Cane Genetic Breeding Program of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, in the ona da Mata, Minas Gerais. Twenty different varieties were used, beind twelve genotypes added to each locality, with the replication of some materials among localities and others not. The varieties selected at the first time were RB739359, SP79-1011 and RB867515. At the second time, RB855536, RB867515 and SP79-1011. At the third time, RB867515, SP79-1011 and RB72454. There was high repetitition of ranks of the second time varieties with the third time ones, and low repetitition of ranks of the first time varieties with the third time ones, in relation to TCH and TPH characteristics. The correlations indicated that management assays could be carried out in only two times, that means, cuttings in April/May and July/August. Budding ability was better estimated at the cutting time in July, with relation to the TCH characteristic. / Dissertação importada do Alexandria
