The thesis is focused on the controversy of the interpretation of Tomáš Baťa, Jan Antonín Baťa and Tomáš Jan baťa a their company. In the first chapter I analyze the Baťa's system - advantages and disadvantages. Later I focus on communist literature which describes Baťa, a.s. as ruthless company. In the third chapter I show authores who wrote about Baťa - grateful businessman.

The aim of the thesis is to reflect on selected modernization reforms of Reza Shah in the first period of the Pahlaví dynasty (1925-1941) from the point of view of women who studied, started families and tried to work in this period. The basic source is women's memoirs published in 2018 in Iran, by Noushin Ahmadi Khorasani. The thesis examines the reaction of women to the Shah's reforms, the consequences of social changes and, more generally, a role these women played in the process of modernization of Iran. The reforms that the work focuses on are related to the position of women in society and have had an immediate impact on their lives: for example, amendments to family laws, education, job opportunities, social activities and the type of clothing. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part examines the political and economic background of Iran in the second half of the 19th century and in the early 20th century until the 1940s. It also discusses Reza Shah's government and its plans and reforms for modernizing Iran, and finally the living conditions of Iranian women during this period. The UK-China "Golden Era", which began in 2015, is one of the evidence for further intimacy between the UK and China. On the basis of building consensus, the UK and China have continuously deepened cooperation in all aspects. However, the Brexit process that began in 2016 has changed the environment in which the "Golden Era" has developed. This study used the methods of comparative study and case analysis to analyse the impact of the Brexit process on the UK-China "Golden Era" development during the period from October 2015 to April 2019, and draw conclusions about the UK-China "Golden Era" is well developed now and has a great possibility to continue or even accelerate development in the future.

This thesis is dealing with the development of the Great Britan foreign policy in the last two decades of the 19th century. The period of time covered her is marked by the era berween the Anglo-Egyptian War in 1882 and the sign of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance in 1902. Primarily, the thesis concentrates on the Foreign Office working and the top-british politicians. The fundamental objective is assessment of the process of change British policy and the definitive rejection of Splendid Isolation in 1902. Therefore it will especially watch the rivalry of powers in peripheries in Africa, Balkans and the Far East. The thesis is devided into eight chapters. The final part resumes the data arising from the research of creation the foreign policy. This diploma thesis tries to analyse the monetary policy of the Federal Reserve System in the 1920s. Through a detailed scrutiny of the influence of the American Central Bank on the economic activities it also tries to answer the question whether the Federal Reserve System could be considered as the main factor behind the causes and consequences of the Great Depression. This analysis can be divided into two periods. In the first period it explores the connection between the Federal Reserve System and the so-called New Era of American Capitalism in the 1920s. In addition, it raises the question whether the Central American Bank (through monetary policy tools) influenced the contemporary economic and political development to such an extent that it resulted into the Great Depression. The focus of the second period is the behaviour of the Federal Reserve System right after the Stock Market Crash of 1929.

Diploma thesis "Social Network Facebook in News: Comparison of Space Dedicated to Social Network Facebook and its Content in Czech Media in the Years 2009 and 2011", is dedicated to the way of use and citation of social network Facebook in the selected news media. The paper summarizes the establishment and strengthening of online media, particularly the phenomenon of social networks on the example of social network Facebook, and their influence on the transformation of the media sector, news values and new resources. In analyzing the texts containing the word Facebook in selected periods of 2009 and 2011 the thesis compares the frequency of posts mentioning the term Facebook in the dailies Blesk, Hospodářské noviny and MF Dnes and on the news sites Aktuálně.cz and iDNES.cz. According to the results of the analysis thesis describes the work and changes of work with social network Facebook in the Czech media, including its use as a news source, it evaluates the change of Facebook's status in society Facebook and it mentions the relationship between the posts containing reference to the Facebook and news values. Survey conducted by agency My.cz focused on Czech journalists' approach to social networks including practical use of social networks as news sources is part of the diploma thesis.

The subject of this thesis is a genre analysis of Soviet film comedies of the late 60s and the 70s that is based on the reception and production history data. The aim of this research is to grasp this type of comedy as a specific political and socially-cultural phenomenon of the Eastern bloc and its relation to Soviet popular culture. A methodology of the genre analysis will derive from Rick Altman's semantic-syntactic approach, which will allow us to describe the chosen genre group as a complex genre trend set in the unique social, cultural, economic and in this particular case also ideological context, to follow the development and fluidity of the genre trend, as well as to find and to compare mutual attributes of the chosen films. The analysis will not be based solely on the group of the most watched films, but also on the production data focusing mostly on the films' budget, as well as dramaturgic supervision and censorship. Another part of the diploma thesis will be based on the gathered reception data such as contemporary media response and viewer ratings, focusing on the important role that Soviet film comedies played in the period and partially continue to play in the present-day Russian popular culture.
