Analýza chování a metod navrhování smykových stěn lehkých dřevěných konstrukcí / Analysis of structural response and design methods for shear walls in light timber frame structures

Zajíc, Michal Unknown Date (has links)
The prediction of shear capacity of light timber frame walls in a multi-storey arrangement is the main focus of this dissertation. The available theories neglect to account for the fact that the shear resistance of the walls may depend on the actual vertical position of the applied horizontal force. However, the actual arrangement of the structures in practice introduces a vertical offset between the wall head height and the position of the resultant of the external horizontal forces. Thus, the horizontal shear force is accompanied by dependent overturning moment. Solving such a problem for partially anchored walls inevitably leads to an iterative calculation. The aim is to provide a comprehensible and less calculation-intensive procedure for multi-storey buildings that would be competitive with existing simplified methods. A model derived from lower bound plastic method was successfully put to the test in a parametric study and compared with limited test results. The results show that the capacities predicted using the novel method compare favourably with the results obtained from traditional theories using a more complicated iterative process. Therefore, the presented single-step approach may be appealing to the industry. A test program was formulated to understand better the implications of the recommended best practice of introducing gaps between sheathing panels. It was set to experimentally verify the difference in the shear capacity for setups with and without gaps between the sheathing panels. The significance of this study is that it informs the industry that the manufacturers’ recommendation to incorporate a gap between sheathing panels would not compromise the structural integrity. Considering the model uncertainty and the safety margins, the introduction of gaps does not alter the strength or stiffness of the wall.

Dům s pečovatelskou službou / Nursing home

Bartoněk, Jan January 2018 (has links)
The subject of my diploma thesis is an elaboration a design documentation for a newbuilding of a nursing home. The building will be located on the town part Brno - Bystrc. The building will serve to accommodate seniors and ensure their quality and dignity. The building is designed as a detached house with a oartial cellar and three floors. Part of the building are also garage spaces situated in 1S, accessible by both the elevator and the walkway. The mainentrance is in height level a ground floor. External loadbearing structures are made of ceramic. The ceiling structure is made of Spiroll boards due to a larger span between supports. The building is roofed with a flat roof. The staircase is reinforced concrete. When processing, it was given the emphasis on the layout design, architectonic and technical arrangements and on a safe usage of the building. The drawing documentation os processed in the AutoCAD programme.

Tančírna u rybníka / Gaff by the pond

Vondra, Miloš January 2018 (has links)
The project involves the design and solution of a restaurant with dance floor and accommodation. This includes a new building on land plot 389/1, 389/3, 389/4, 1632/2, 1632/3, 1634/9, located in the town of Čáslav. Access to the building and layout inside the building is barrier-free. The restaurant is designed for a capacity of 120 people to sit. The total bed capacity of the pension is 14 beds. One double room is designed for barrier free use of the accommodation unit. The structural system of the object is masonry, with additional elements of the cast-in-place concrete frame. At the site of the largest span are designed reinforced concrete columns and dimensioned 0.3 x 0.3 m with a maximum centre to centre spacing of 5.31 x 5.775 m. Basement masonry is supposed to be from permanent shuttering. The masonry part of the building at the groundfloors is made from ceramic blocks of type POROTHERM with 300 mm thickness. Internal loadbearing masonry and not loadbearing masonry walls are built from ceramic blocks of POROTHERM with thickness 250, 150, 80 mm, or plasterboard partition with thickness 155 mm. The building is insulated with a contact insulation system. The (exterior) building envelope is designed with a ventilated air gap. The floor structure is supposed to be from reinforced concrete monolithic slab. The building is roofed with a flat roof with a single-layer flat roof with a classical layout. Above the restaurant will be an extensive green roof.

Adamec, Jan January 2019 (has links)
The aim of the final thesis is design of boarding house and horse stables. The boarding house has two floors, partial basement and exploited attic. The building is designed as rectangle and will serve as support area for guests´accommodation. The building has saddle roof. The main material of vertical and horizontal structures is cast-in-place concrete using formwok VELOX. The second building is horse stables. The building has two floors, partial basement and partial exploited attic for storing fodder. The L-shaped building will serve as stable for eleven horses, storage of fodder and garage for agricultural equipment. The building has saddle roof with truss girders. The main material of vertical and horizontal structures is cast-in-place concrete using formwok VELOX. These buildings are designed on slightly sloping terrain from east to west.

My diploma thesis occupies with project documentation for building of house with the day care, with conformity of legal regulation and technical standards. My work solves the buildings dispositions with proposal of right construction system and supporting system with using right materials, important for me was the integration into near built-up area on the periphery of town. My diploma thesis evaluates the building from the point of view of building physics. It verifies warm-technical and sound-isolating properties of constructions, from the suggested materials and it verifies the materials with standards values.
