The pump is suggested for optimum operation point wherein usually works. If the machine works in the areas of flows except for design point, it will cause decrease in its efficiency or genesis of pulsation. The compromise solution is possible to use the pump in a large range of flows together with high efficiency. The solution is diffuser with double curvature of vanes.

The thesis deals with processing of project documentation of the new building constructed in form frame wooden construction. Project documentation contains design drawings needed to acquire building permit. Thesis describes chosen ways of heating objects, their technical construction and principal of function. It states their advantages and disadvantages and compares them according to their purchase and operating costs. It also states progression of costs of electric energy, natural gas and wood pellets and their availability. Part of the thesis is calculation of heat loss and heat energy needed for heating and for service water heating. Based on these calculations the thesis compares purchase and operating costs for period of 10 years and deals with the most crucial factors that affects choice of heating system in current time.

The goal of this thesis is to design a heating system for a building of an elementary school in Polešovice. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first, theoretical, part discusses heat pumps with the main focus on gas absorption heat pumps. The se-cond part addresses the design of the school heating as well as the design of an ecological heat source. The part consisting calculations introduces the calculation of heat losses, the optimal choice of temperature gradient, the design of heating surfaces, the design of heat sources including the design of the bivalent source, the way of hot water preparation, dimensioning, the security equipment and other calculations. The last part deals with the drawing documentation, the technical report and also some economical questions such as return on investment based on measured efficiency of the heat source.

The master thesis is focused on the examination of the influence of the impeller eye on the stability of Q-Y curves. It is the examination of the impact of a large inlet angle of the blade and the extension of the inlet part, which also supports good cavitation capabilities. Another consideration is the influence of the rotating fluid before the impeller, influence of the circumferential component of the absolute velocity at the inlet part. The proposed modification will be subject to simulation in ANSYS.

Based on the analytical part, there are suggestions that optimize the time-consuming process and reduce the error rate of the recorded data to the system.

The master’s thesis deals optimization of regenerative pump and axial pump with ring motors that are designed as a heart replacement. Analysis of the koncepts is performed which were made in previous master’s thesis. There is created a new design of construction and hydraulition with using flat motors based on the analysis. The compact assembly of two impeller was formulated that replaced left and right heart and it served as a function of heart replacement. A functional model of the pump is created, there is measured characteristics of impeller and results are compared with CFD analysis. The design requirements some parts of the axial pump are added and it’s deviced feasibility analysis.

The diploma thesis deals with the design of an artificial heart based on the principle of gas accumulators. The introductory part describes the anatomy and physiology of the human cardiovascular system, mechanical heart replacement and the basic properties of pneumatic mechanisms. Furthermore, there is shown the procedure of pneumatic circuit design and its simulation in the program Simulink. The experimental part contains verification of the functionality of the pneumatic circuit, designed the positive displacement pump, and the measured characteristics of both ventricles. The last part of the work deals with the reduction possibilities of dimensions and weight of the whole mechanism. There is also included computational modelling of the pneumatic circuit using helium as a working medium.

The last part of this thesis is focused on design of two options of employment of heat pumps as sources of heat and coldness for a central air handling unit, which regulates incoming air for a dining room in a retirement home in Brno.
