plant. Finally, work is designed sewerage system and wastewater treatment plant for
the area.
Area for which the sewerage system and wastewater treatment plant being
proposed is Maleč village, which lies in Havlíčkův Brod district, north of Chotěboř.
The benefit of this work is the comprehensive information on the issue of
wastewater removal and subsequent purification plant. The information obtained will
be used in the design of a new sewer system and wastewater treatment plant for the
municipality Malec, which is currently built only rainwater drainage system and
sewage is discharged into the pits and cesspools.

Presented PhD theses deals with evaluation of use of algal biofilms for nutrients removal from wastewater. The integral part of research was estimation of the comprehensive benefit of the presented technology, including biomass production and phosphorus recovery. The algal biofilm was able to remove 98 % of phosphorus after 24 hours when the PO4-P concentrations in inflowing water ranged from 3 to10 mg.L-1. Different patterns of phosphorus and nitrogen removal were observed. Daily quantity of removed NO3-N ranged from 2 % to 25 % and was highly depended on solar irradiance. The studied biofilm system has a high efficiency for phosphorus removal and, therefore, has great potential for integration into wastewater treatment processes.

The purpose of this thesis is to describe issues of wastewater systems and a design for separate sewage network in a particular village. Literary publications dealing with this particular subject and digital documents based on cadastral map were used to create the thesis. Drawing documentation of designed sewerage system is also part of the dissertation.
Thesis is composed of two parts.
The first part deals with the history of sewage disposal and treatment. Following familiarization with current trends in drainage of urbanized areas and the subsequent wastewater treatment. Types of wastewater, indicators of pollution and available options of draining from settlements are discussed.
The second part is devoted to the practical part. Begins by describing the location of interest, continues with proposal of sewerage system and hydraulic dimensioning wastewater treatment plant.
The benefit of this thesis is to deepen knowledge in the field of sewerage and waste water treatment. Another positive aspect is the application of knowledge gained in school examples to real practice.
