Strategie zvládání problémových situací na středních odborných školách / Strategies of managing misbehavior at secondary vocational schools

The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the most important published aspects, which are involved in the development of problem behavior (misbehavior), and present different strategies, how to prevent or manage these situations. The empirical part describes all factors which can cause the problem behavior and depicts how teachers deal with such a behavior. In the research conducted at five secondary vocational schools, in nine classes, was used a method of video analysis of behavior (observation), an interview with teachers and a questionnaire for students. The research confirmed that there are many variables affecting the elimination of misbehavior - teacher's personality, her/his experiences, teaching methods, a subject, a composition and arrangement of a class, a number of students in a class. Respect, authority but also a positive attitude to a student is required in a relation between a student and a teacher. Communication between teachers and students should be clear and should have defined and adhered rules. As the fastest and the most effective strategy of managing misbehavior appears a non- verbal communication. The diploma thesis is focused on technical excursions in Sedlčany and their implementation in education at the first level of elementary schools. The theoretical part describes the learning and its life meaning, including the development of the child's thinking with the theory of learning process. It also deals with the technique in the life of contemporary person and his influence on the development of the personality of the child. It focuses on the place of work education at the first level and its aims. It deals with teaching methods, their classification and provides an overview of some activating teaching methods. It defines the excursion and analyzes it didactically. It deals with primary technical litteracy. It characterizes selected technical monuments and sites for excursion. The practical part consists of six suggestions of technical excursions, which can be realized in the teaching of pupils at the first level of elementary schools. The part is the evaluated questionnaire on the effectiveness of the excursions between the first grade teachers. In addition, more general recommendations for applying original excursions in the primary education.

Title: Analysis of the observance of the objectives of school physical education at primary school graduates. Objectives: The main purpose of this work was to analyze the knowledges, skills and level of physical abilities and attitudes of the 9th year of primary school graduates pursuant to the proposed standards for physical education developed according to the modified RVP ZV. Methods: To collect and successive evaluation of the data was used a questionnaire survey. A total of one hundred and forty students were interviewed, where seventy students were from Písek and seventy students from České Budějovice. Further, their physical education teachers were interviewed. Results: The results of the analysis don't correspond to the expectation that the students have sufficient knowledge of the activities influencing their health and physical education skills. Diplomová práce pojednává o využití portfolia pro sebehodnocení žáků ve třetím ročníku, které by mělo plnohodnotně sloužit k běžné diagnostice ze strany učitele a dále by mělo plnit funkci zpětné vazby pro žáka a rodiče při sledování jeho výsledků a pokroků. Teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením pojmu sebehodnocení a práce s ním v jeho širším kontextu, zejména ve vazbě na hodnocení žáků a diagnostickou činnost učitele. Cílem diplomové práce je na základě teoretických poznatků a výzkumných dat navrhnout a zavést taková opatření, která by posunula stav již existujícího portfolia a sebehodnocení na kvalitativně vyšší úroveň jak po stránce obsahové, tak i v samotném po stránce obsahové i v samotném způsobu práce s ním. Pro dosažení stanoveného cíle byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu, která je vymezena a interpretována ve výzkumné části práce. Thesis entitled ?Analysis of educational communication in the lessons of German language at the second degree of elementary school? contains a theoretical and an empirical part. Its aim is to find out whether the pupils of this type of school have a sufficient space for their communication. In order to investigate this fact, there will be watching of the teaching of German lessons. This method is also enriched by interviewing students and their teachers. The research will be held at two elementary schools. Based on the obtained results, there will be compared both schools. In this thesis is explained the issues of communication. The most common and the best-known definitions of communication appear there. It is composed largely of types of communication and a big attention is paid to teaching communication. We cannot forget the methods and forms of teaching, which are used by the teacher in German lessons. Very important is also the individual work of students, in which they will practice and learn the discussed schoolwork. The aim of this work is to find out the issues of communication and possibilities to use the organizational forms of teaching and methods for improvement of teaching of German lessons.

The thesis Feedback in the proces of education, discusses formative feedback whose goal is to convey information to the student, which positively influences the students progress. Therefore it is an ongoing action of the teacher, who is monitoring the progress and results of the students, so that the teacher can help the students reach their goals and help form their overall personality. The first part of the thesis concentrates on the definition of feedback in the context of educational communication. Here the functions, goals of feedback and various typologies, with which we can meet, are summed up. Attention is further given to the problematics of working with students mistakes, educational goals, feedback in relation to evaluation and the role of formative evaluation in the educational process, the key of which is feedback. Part of the text further gives attention to how to work with feedback, and what to look out for so that it is most effective. The empirical second part concentrates on a research of methods of ten public school elementary teacher which they use to provide their students feedback. In the form of a case study it looks at how teachers approach feedback, and what forms and procedures they use, and what they want to achieve through it.

The diploma thesis "Individualization in Preschool and Elementary Education" deals with an individualized education of preschoolers and children at the primary school stage. It is a case study with direct observation, interviews and studying the relevant documents qualitatively examines in detail the individualization in a particular educational institution in order to gain insight into its real individualized learning using representative sample to clarify its meaning. The thesis has both theoretical and practical forms and is aimed at studying the possibility of the individualized learning. It analyzes a specific way of teachers' pedagogical work with preschool children and school children in primary education. Činnost kolektivu třídy při poznávání matematiky (Studie o edukačním stylu VOBS) / Activities of a class when discovering mathematics (A study on the educational style of Scheme-oriented education)

The dissertation describes qualitative research undertaken to study the discovery process in a class at the individual, group and whole class levels. This process is demonstrated on the case of discovering the parity of number zero (odd or even) in two class discussions. These discussions took place in a class of fourth year pupils at primary school, taught by the author in a constructivist way, within a one month period of each other. The research database contains also audio and video recordings, written work of the observed pupils, the author's teaching diary and it is analyzed and compared with literature. The methodology focuses on classifying the broad spectrum of pupils' responses and thinking processes not only in relation to the selected problem but also to related problems. Some of the described events are commented on with recommendations how to handle the didactic situations that occurred or compared with hypothetical situations typical for transmissive teaching. The main results of this work fall in the cognitive, metacognitive and social area are summarized into seventeen points that highlight the importance of discussion for the complexity of pupils' knowledge, for the enriching and refining their ideas, increasing their autonomy and ability to cooperate.
