Στην παρούσα εργασία γίνεται προσπάθεια να εντοπισθούν, καταγραφούν και ερμηνευθούν τα ορθογραφικά λάθη που παρατηρούνται σε γραπτά μαθητών που είναι χρήστες τής Κοινής Νεοελληνικής. Συγκεκριμένα ερευνάται ένα εκτεταμένο και αντιπροσωπευτικό corpus ορθογραφικών λαθών, που αντλείται από 108 γραπτά κείμενα μαθητών που φοιτούν ή φοίτησαν πρόσφατα στην Β΄ και την Γ΄ τάξη δύο λυκείων τής Πάτρας. Πριν από το καθαρώς ερευνητικό μέρος προηγείται το θεωρητικό, όπου συζητούνται η έννοια και τα όρια τού γλωσσικού λάθους γενικότερα, η σχέση του με την νόρμα (την Κοινή), την ποικιλία και την γλωσσική αλλαγή. Εν συνεχεία καθορίζεται τι είναι γραφή και ποια η σχέση τού γραπτού συστήματος με το γλωσσικό σύστημα, ενώ επισυνάπτονται ειδικότερα ορθογραφικά θέματα. Μετά το θεωρητικό μέρος ακολουθεί η έρευνα, γενικοί στόχοι τής οποίας είναι αφ’ ενός να διαπιστωθεί η σχέση των ορθογραφικών αποκλίσεων των μαθητών με τρεις ανεξάρτητες μεταβλητές (ηλικία – σχολικό περιβάλλον – φύλο) και αφ’ ετέρου η προσπάθεια περιγραφής και ερμηνείας αυτών των αποκλίσεων. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό επιχειρούνται επίσης η ταξινόμηση των αποκλίσεων σε δύο βασικές κατηγορίες (λάθη σε λεξικό μόρφημα – λάθη σε πρόσφυμα) και η συσχέτιση αυτών των κατηγοριών, δηλαδή των εξαρτημένων ορθογραφικών μεταβλητών, με τις ανεξάρτητες. / In the present work we try to locate, record and interpret the orthographic errors that are observed in the written essays of the students who are users of Common Modern Greek Language. Particularly what is searched is an extensive and representative corpus of orthographic errors, which are drawn from 108 written texts of students who study or have recently studied in the 2nd and the 3d classes of two lycea of Patras. The inquiring part follows the theoretical one, in which what we discuss is the concept and the limits of linguistic error, its relation with the Norm (common), the variety and the linguistic change. Then we determine what writing is and which the relation of the writing system is with the linguistic system, whereas we also attach more specific orthographic subjects. Beyond the theoretical part there follows the research, general objectives of which are on the one hand the relation of orthographic divergences of students with three independent variables (age – school environment – sex) and on the other hand the effort of description and interpretation of these divergences. In this frame we also attempt the classification of divergences in two basic categories (errors in lexical morpheme – errors in affix) and the correlation of these categories, i.e. the depended and the independent orthographic variables.
