The progression of engineering resources transition outside of US is becoming a gradual trend and R&D resources development is now focusing at Asia pacific countries particularly in Taiwan and China. Literature such as “Globalization of Corporate R&D – Implication for innovation systems in host countries” by P. Reddy” outlines the importance of the transition from historical and transactional corporate (TNC’s) prospective. However, this research is intent to analysis the practical process in detail based HP TDC success and formulates the “R&D Globalization” model which then justifies why companies are eager to have their design center setup in Taiwan or China then concludes with impacts on R&D resources availability in years to come.
