在經常變動的競爭環境中，經理人需要快速靈活的掌握資訊，以為決策所用。資訊部門為因應這些需求，必須設計一套滿足使用者動態的資訊需求的資料庫管理系統。本研究提出一套以集合為基礎的表達方式定義多維度資料庫，同時提出設計多維度資料庫的方法，並以一行銷公司─南聯國際貿易公司為例，將本論文所提出的方法加以探討、驗證。
