Low-code-plattformar: En översikt : Undersökning via applikationsutveckling / Low-Code Platforms: A review : Exploration via application developmentBerdén, Daniel, Traxler, Johan January 2021 (has links)
Development of digital solutions that seamlessly integrate and display relevant informationhas become one of the most important tools for many companies. Low-codeplatforms have been created to simplify this work. The question is if these platformssucceed in this goal and to what extent. This paper has as its goal to process this questionand arrive at a guiding answer. Initially, the low-code concept was examined and thenthree different platforms were selected. These platforms were: OutSystems, MicrosoftPower Apps, and Mendix. To investigate and evaluate these platforms, a demo applicationwas designed and subsequently implemented in each of the platforms. The resultwas a description of the development work and an evaluation of the various platforms. Inthe evaluation of the development work, it was concluded that the investigated low-codeplatforms contribute to smoother development with a focus on user interfaces, but thatdespite their simpler systems, they still require a certain development habit for efficientuse. Proposals for future work in the area and with the work presented in the report aredescribed.

Hydraulics of IDEal Drip Irrigation SystemsThompson, Evan J 01 May 2009 (has links)
The hydraulics of IDEal drip irrigation system components were analyzed under controlled laboratory conditions and the results can be applied to the design of IDEal systems. The hydraulic loss coefficient for the lateral-submain connector valves was determined based on laboratory measurements. It was found that the hydraulic loss due to friction in the lay-flat laterals can be accurately estimated with standard friction loss equations using a smaller effective diameter based on the wall thickness and inlet pressure head. The equivalent length barb loss, expressed as an equivalent length of lateral, was calculated for button emitters, as well as for micro-tubes inserted to lengths of 5 and 10 cm. It was concluded that the barb loss is essentially constant over the micro-tube insertion range of 5-10 cm. The head-discharge relationship and coefficient of manufacturer's variation of pre-punched lateral holes (without emitters), button emitters, and micro-tubes were characterized.
Finally, several IDEal drip irrigation systems in the Central Rift Valley of Ethiopia were evaluated in the field. Recommendations were given for future research and improvements in the manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance of IDEal drip irrigation equipment.

The development and pilot testing of a Cholesterol Saturated Fat Index (CSI) scorecard for dietary self-monitoringMitchell, Dorothy T. 24 October 2009 (has links)
The National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel guidelines specify that dietary intervention is the cornerstone of treatment for hypercholesterolemia. Self-monitoring is a strategy used to achieve self-direction in adopting and maintaining a cholesterol-lowering dietary pattern. The Cholesterol Saturated Fat Index (CSI) illustrates the atherogenic potential of food. Given that saturated fat and dietary cholesterol are the two major dietary components known to raise serum cholesterol, a CSI Scorecard was developed and pilot tested as a dietary self-monitoring tool. Twelve nutritionists scored the same five food records with known CSI scores, the reference data. The food records represented CSI scores from the 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th percentiles from a pool of 400 usual diet food records. Two-tailed, one-sample t-tests demonstrated that the CSI Scorecard scores were not statistically significant at only the 25th and 75th percentiles. Therefore, in three of five food record percentiles, nutritionists’ CSI scores differed from the corresponding reference CSI scores. Small sample size and years of experience may have been factors influencing the results. Comments from the nutritionists’ critique forms were incorporated into the revision of the CSI Scorecard.
Twelve participants scored their four-day food records using the booklet. The Spearman’s rho correlation of the CSI Scorecard derived CSI scores to the reference CSI scores was rS=.8 (p<.05). These preliminary results and comments from the formative evaluation meetings suggested that the CSI Scorecard deserves further validity testing with a larger sample of subjects. The CSI Scorecard appeared to show promise as a dietary self-monitoring tool that would facilitate increased self-direction in the adoption of a cholesterol-lowering diet. / Master of Science

LOW-ELEVATION TRACKING TECHNOLOGY FOR TELEMETRY EQUIPMENTXueping, Zhu 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 23-26, 2000 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California / This paper analyzes the multi-path effects on telemetry equipment when it tracks the low-elevation flying target. Based on bias-axis mono-pulse technique, real time attenuation memory recursive Least-Squares Estimate as well as synthetic application of multiple source data, a comprehensive tracking method is proposed to eliminate the antenna shaking and reduce angle error caused by the multi-path effects. The method has been verified by field test. And the goal of smooth tracking of the low elevation target is eventually reached.

Exploiting Bluetooth Low Energy Pairing Vulnerability in TelemedicineZegeye, Wondimu K. 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2015 Conference Proceedings / The Fifty-First Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 26-29, 2015 / Bally's Hotel & Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV / Telemetry has potentially large contributions to future medical applications. In the past decade wireless devices have invaded the medical area with a wide range of capability as components of a wireless personal area network (WPAN) and Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN). These applications in medical telemetry are not only improving the quality of life of patients and doctor-patient efficiency, but also enabling medical personnel to monitor patients remotely and give them timely health information, reminders, and support-potentially extending the reach of health care by making it available anywhere, anytime. This paper exploits the pairing vulnerability in Bluetooth Low energy (Bluetooth Smart) for HealthCare devices used in medical telemetry applications and demonstrates the key role security plays in telemetry.
