The text of Paul in the writings of Didymus of Alexandria /MacDonald, Kevin, MA. January 2005 (has links)
The study of patristic quotations of the Greek New Testament has proven valuable in the field of textual criticism as a means of locating variant readings both chronologically and geographically, facilitating the reconstruction of the development of the different textual groups. This thesis will document the Pauline citations, adaptations and allusions of Didymus of Alexandria, and then determine their textual affinities, along the lines of earlier studies in this field. Using the methodology developed by B. Ehrman, including both a statistical analysis and a method of group profiling, this study concludes that the text of Paul in Didymus clearly belongs to the Alexandrian group. An appendix giving suggestions for corrections and additions to the critical apparatuses of both the 27th edition of the Nestle-Aland text and the 4th edition of the United Bible Societies text of the Greek New Testament has also been provided.

"Filled with the Gifts of God": The Holy Spirit as Agent of Virtue Formation in the Participatory Pneumatology of Didymus the BlindHedges, Zachary 02 January 2018 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the pneumatology of Didymus the Blind as expressed in
three of his writings: the Commentary on Genesis, the Commentary on Zechariah, and
On the Holy Spirit. It attends specifically to the relationship between this pneumatology
and Didymus’s concept of virtue formation. Chapters 1 and 2 provide a survey of the
state of Didymean scholarship and a sketch of his biography.
Chapter 3 identifies the concept of virtue formation that Didymus espouses in
the Commentary on Genesis and the Commentary on Zechariah, while chapter 4
describes the pneumatology of On the Holy Spirit.
Finally, chapter 5 draws together the observations of chapters 3 and 4 to
demonstrate their interconnectedness and to argue that the pneumatology which Didymus
constructs in On the Holy Spirit is, in fact, the underlying source of agency for the notion
of virtue formation that he develops in his commentaries on Genesis and Zechariah.

Memoria (licenciado en ciencias jurídicas y sociales) / Autor no autoriza el acceso a texto completo de su documento / En la primera parte de este trabajo efectuamos un estudio general acerca de los delitos contra la salud pública, centrándonos específicamente en el análisis dogmático del tipo penal del artículo 313 d del Código Penal Chileno, que regula el delito por fabricación o expendio de sustancias medicinales deterioradas o adulteradas, peligrosas para la salud, por su nocividad o menoscabo de sus propiedades curativas, en relación con el tipo penal del artículo 317 del mismo cuerpo jurídico, que establece una agravación de la pena cuando como consecuencia de la conducta anterior se hubiere producido la muerte o enfermedad grave de alguna persona. Posteriormente en la segunda parte, observamos un importante caso de la jurisprudencia nacional, conocido popularmente “como el caso ADN Nutricomp”, en donde analizamos la aplicación concreta de los tipos penales en estudio, y apreciamos los problemas de causalidad que traen aparejados, comparando la respuesta que se ha dado respecto de este fallo, con dos casos de la jurisprudencia alemana y española, conocidos como el “caso Contergan” y el “caso Aceite de Colza”, para finalmente reflexionar respecto a lo que consideramos nosotros es la solución adecuada del caso
