The complete thesis in print form is available from the University Library. / Late-orogenic magmas are common to many foldbelts, suggesting a causal link between this thermal pulse and the cessation of deformation. An investigation of such a late-orgenic magnetic suite is made in the southern Adelaide Foldbelt. The suite is biomodal with mafic dykes and plutons accompanied by high-silica granites and rhyolites. It is argued that these mafic and felsic intrusives are both thermally and compositionally related. / Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Adelaide, Dept. of Geology and Geophysics, 1992
