Desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta de CAD aplicada ao projeto de hélices para veículos aquáticos não tripulados. / Developmente of a CAD tool applied to propeller design for unmanned aquatic vehicles.

Villas Boas, Fábio 17 February 2006 (has links)
This work deals with the computer aided design of marine propellers applied to the propulsion system of autonomous surface crafts (ASVs). The main applications and component systems of ASVs are introduced. An analysis of the propeller main geometric parameters is performed, and a numerical tool is proposed for the surface and solid model generation using data provided by the propeller systematic series for the sectional profile radial description. Finally, it is presented the introduction and analysis of the computer aided manufacturing processes considered for the propulsion of ASVs and other unmanned aquatic vehicles.

Aplikace na podporu testování bezpečnosti webových aplikací / Application that supports penetration tests of web applications

Holovová, Simona January 2020 (has links)
This master´s thesis is about the security of web applications and penetration testing. The main goal is to gain knowledge about testing methodologies OWASP Testing Guide and ASVS and to implement this knowledge into a web application to assist during manual penetration testing. The theoretical part of the thesis describes both methodologies and web technologies used during the development of the application. The practical part of the thesis is about the design of the application based on the specification, its implementation, and security hardening.

Bezpečnost při vývoji softwaru / Security during the application development

Lapáček, Vladimír January 2010 (has links)
The topic of the thesis is issue of security during the application development. The main emphasis is being placed on web applications. The goal is to define a framework for managing the life cycle of applications to meet the security minimum. The objectives of the work are achieved by study of available resources and their subsequent analysis. The target audiences are software developers interested in learning more about how to create secure applications. The work describes the areas that are crucial for security of applications. Work contains security standards which we can use for defining security requirements of applications. Furthermore, there are mentioned the most serious security vulnerabilities and ways how to avoid them. It describes issue of security testing as an important tool for verifying security. The main part of work is the chapter dealing with the way how to include the issue of security throughout the application life cycle.

Evaluating the Security of Smart Home Hubs

Christiaens, Steven A 01 August 2015 (has links) (PDF)
The goal of this research is to improve the security of smart home hubs by developing a standard against which hubs can be evaluated. This was done by first reviewing existing standards, guides, and collections of best practices. I determined that adapting or extending an existing standard was the best way to proceed. Potential candidates were selected, and after thorough comparison, I chose to extend the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS). Extensions were composed of additional security requirements to address smart home hub functionality not covered by the existing requirements of the ASVS. These additional requirements were developed based upon existing best practices and are referred to as the Smart Home Extensions. Where a best practice or guidance did not yet exist for a particular hub functionality, guidance from related fields was adapted. The entire set of Smart Home Extensions were reviewed by industry experts, updated based on feedback, and then sent on for further peer review. Four smart home hubs – VeraLite, Wink, Connect, and SmartThings – were evaluated using the ASVS with the Smart Home Extensions. The evaluation uncovered security vulnerabilities in all four hubs, some previously disclosed by other researchers, and others new. Analysis of the evaluation data suggests that authentication is a common problem area, among others. Based on the performance of the hubs and the data collected, I suggest that the ASVS and Smart Home Extensions can be an effective tool to provide insight into the security posture of smart home hubs.
