Por outro lado a economia crescente da borracha possibilitou que a cidade de Belém conhecesse importantes transformações urbanas e demográficas, permitindo uma análise dos lugares de comer e seus diversos sujeitos sociais que figuravam as ruas, restaurantes, padarias e outros estabelecimentos alimentícios. / This dissertation focuses on the food history in Belém (State of Pará, Brazil) between 1850 and 1900. It examines the process of buying and saling food in city of Belém, and their relationships with the countryside of province, with other Brazilians provinces of empire and with other countries focusing the spaces and produces directly connected to food. On the other hand, the grown of rubber economy with their urban and demography important transformations in city of Belém, it is possible the analyses of spaces to eat and their producers, tradesmen, working class and other socials individuals in the streets, restaurants, bakery e other food spaces.
