La Blaxploitation est un courant de cinéma des années 1970 présenté, parfois comme la continuation naturelle du Black Power et du mouvement de luttes pour l'obtention des droits civiques. Nous pensons que ces raisons avancées masquent la réalité de ce cinéma au sein duquel se jouent des luttes de pouvoir et qui permet néanmoins de montrer la culture africaine-américaine sous un jour jusqu'ici inédit dans le cinéma mainstream / Blaxploitation is oftenly considered as a political genre which is supposd to be the natural continuation of the Black Power and the Civil Rights Movements. We think that this alledged reasons are not true and hide what this cinema really is. A cinema in which struggles for power are at play and a cinema which allowed for the first time to show the African-American culture in a way which was not shown before in mainstream cinema
