The master thesis is dealing with the consumer protection in air transport. The legislation is primarily stipulated in the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union regulation, to whom is dedicated the beggining of this thesis. In next step the study is devoted to operating irregulariarities followed by problems concerning luggage that could potentially occur during transportation. The end of the theoretical part is discussing the companies that assist passengers in receiving their compensations from air carriers if they are entitled to it. The second section is mainly analytical and it is supported by the theory from the first part of the thesis. Research is done within this part via method of questioning. The aim of the thesis is checking the awareness of passengers about their rights whilst using air transport. The thesis also contains subgoal which is a summary of a basic overview of consumer protection legislation. The conclusion is devoted towards proposals for addressing any identified deficiencies.

Topical issues of the regulation of international air transport This thesis with current issues of legal regulation of international carriage by air, with a focus on the air carrier's liability. After the introductory chapter follows the second chapter which delas with aviation law and specifics of this legal branch. It further discusses the different methods of legal relations in civil aviation and recommends the most appropriate options of treatment. The third chapter summarizes the concept of responsibility in private law with a focus on recodification in Czech private law in 2014. The findings are applied to international and regional regulation of air carrier's liability, which is discussed in the next part of the thesis . The following fourth chapter deals with the liability of the air carrier on the international level. Firstly summarizes the historical development that preceded the adoption of legal rules in aviation law and in the next section discusses two important international documents - the Warsaw Convention and the Montreal Convention . In the section that deals with the Montreal Convention is focused on practical issues, mainly the interpretation of various terms used by the Montreal Convention . The master thesis is focused on the area of low-cost aviation in Europe. Discusses the economics of air carriers and analyzes statistical data on which compares the functioning of selected carriers. In submitted paper there are simultaneously analyzed the destinations network and selected European routes for particular air carriers. Analyses are supplemented by proposals for future possible ways to improve the functioning of the economy. In conclusion is proposed the new model of low-cost air carrier, which is based on a new system of pricing of tickets.
