O Álbum dos Bandoleiros (1924) foi um álbum fotográfico impresso, organizado e publicado pela revista ilustrada Kodak em homenagem às oposições político-partidárias da guerra civil de 1923 no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A publicação tinha por objetivo responder as críticas direcionadas aos rebeldes no decorrer da luta armada, pejorativamente apelidados de “bandoleiros” pelos adversários vinculados a Borges de Medeiros e ao Partido Republicano Rio-Grandense. Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar as dimensões de imagem e política relacionadas com o poder simbólico do conteúdo e publicação deste artefato visual, compreendendo de que forma este álbum fotográfico objetivou contribuir no enquadramento de uma memória coletiva da guerra civil e na construção de um determinado imaginário sobre os “bandoleiros”. Desta forma, interessa perceber a inserção e relevância deste discurso no processo de legitimação, articulação e unificação das oposições político-partidárias regionais durante a Primeira República, principalmente, através de suas composições e atuações na década de 1920, com destaque para a formação da Aliança Libertadora, posteriormente convertida em Partido Libertador. / The Álbum dos Bandoleiros (1924) was a photograph printed album, edited and published by Kodak’s illustrated magazine in a tribute for the party political oppositions of 1923’s civil war in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The published had the intention to answer the criticisms directed to rebels during the war, pejoratively called “bandoleiros” by opponents tied to Borges de Medeiros and the Partido Republicano Rio-Grandense. This study aims to analyze the dimensions of image and politics related to the symbolic power of the content and publication of this visual artifact, including how this album aimed to contribute in the framework of a collective memory of the civil war and the construction of a particular imaginary about the “bandoleiros”. Thus, it is interesting to realize the integration and relevance of this discourse in the process of legitimation, mobilization and unification of the regional party political opposition during the First Republic, mainly, through their compositions and actions in the 1920s, especially with the formation of the Aliança Libertadora, later converted into Partido Libertador.
