Vi har jobbat genom den ideella föreningen KF LIVE (Se definition) som fungerar som arrangörsgrupp i Skövde. Vi tar upp frågor som rör ekonomi, marknadsföring samt det egentliga arbete som krävs under festivaldagen. Under arbetets gång har vi hunnit införskaffa information, reflekterat över den och till sist använt oss av den när vi faktiskt genomfört festivalen. Festivalen som hölls under nio timmar innefattar tre scener med femton lokala som internationella band. I denna rapport kommer läsaren kunna ta del av de beslut vi i gruppen fattat samt få en överblick för det arbete som krävs under festivaldagen.

Volunteerism plays an important role in modern American society with benefits accruing to the community and individuals who volunteer. This thesis evaluated the first year of operation of the ALIVE Center (A Local Information and Volunteer Exchange) by addressing four objectives of the program with data obtained from the ALIVE Center. To meet its first objective, the ALIVE Center maintains a current database of local human service organizations. The second objective, to establish a resource center and provide referrals and information to 1,000 people, was achieved. The third objective of maintaining a website was also met. Matching over 200 volunteers with local service programs, the fourth objective, was easily exceeded. Thus, each of the objectives was clearly met, indicating that the initial year of operation of the ALIVE Center was successful.

ABSTRACT DANA L. GREEAR The STEPS to Atlanta Streets Alive Activity Guide (Under the direction of Professor JOHN A. STEWARD, M.P.H.) Atlanta Streets Alive (ASA) is a continually developing ciclovía recreativa based program occurring in urban Atlanta. Creating multi-sectoral partnerships and providing complementary activities to participants are key to ciclovía program sustainability. The objective of this capstone project was to create the STEPS to Atlanta Streets Alive Activity Guide (STEPS guide) by using a process method of evaluation framework for planning, conducting, and evaluating activities performed within ASA events. A pilot activity was conducted during the Atlanta Streets Alive event on October 17, 2010. The STEPS guide was assembled by using information collected during the pilot activity, with secondary analysis of the STEPS guide, including expert and focus group critique, to ensure accuracy and feasibility of use. The STEPS guide is a structured method of collecting static information about the individual activities conducted within ASA events. This information can be used by future activity partners to develop dynamic complementary activities within ASA events.

Foi objetivo desse estudo, propor uma discussão sobre a Capoeira, a fim de compreender o contexto sociocultural que a possibilitou se inserir na sociedade brasileira, e compreender como o Estado tem se articulado para atender as demandas de Políticas Públicas para a Capoeira. Observamos que a partir da constituição de 1988 o conceito de Cultura e Bem Cultural no Brasil tem inaugurada uma nova fase. Somente a partir de ações do Ministério da Cultura no início do Séc. XXI, que a Capoeira passará a ser reconhecida como uma manifestação digna de apoio e fomentos por parte do Governo Federal. Para tanto, Programas de fomento são criados e planos de salvaguarda e preservação são instituídos. Tudo com o objetivo de manter, difundir e preservar as tradições, as memórias e a ancestralidade imbuída nessa manifestação que já alcança mais ou menos cento e cinquenta países. / The research question addresses issues relating to the practice of Capoeira and its practitioners, from the concepts Memory, Culture, and Identity Orality, and shares of Public Policy, Cultural Policy and Safety. Objective of this study was to propose a discussion about Capoeira in order to understand the cultural context that is allowed to enter in Brazilian society, and understand how the State has articulated to meet the demands of Public Policies for Capoeira. We note that from the constitution of 1988 the concept of Culture and Cultural Well in Brazil has inaugurated a new phase. Only actions from the Ministry of Culture at the beginning of XXI century, that Capoeira will be recognized as a manifestation worthy of support and encouragements on the part of the Federal Government. Therefore, programs are created and promotions of safeguarding and preservation plans are instituted. All with the goal to maintain, disseminate and preserve the traditions, ancestry and memories permeated demonstrators already reaches more or less one hundred and fifty countries.

This thesis delves into the connection between childhood memories and how they shape our appreciation of architectural spaces as we grow older. While our inherent bond with nature and trees remains strong, modern cities and crowded neighborhoods have gradually overshadowed the charming image of gardens next to homes. This study aims to revive the concept of the garden within urban living, not merely as peripheral adornments, but as the heart of a home. By bringing people and their natural surroundings closer, this thesis seeks to redefine architecture's role beyond mere protection. Imagine a home coexisting with a forest or an orchard, offering not only shelter but sustenance. Collaborating with this coexisting green space, architecture comes to life through smart design and eco-friendly solutions, also addressing urban challenges like noise, pollution, and heat. The result of this scholarly exploration births a paradigmatic design precedent, and as an innovative building design where trees and homes are intertwined, creating a seamless unity that provides both refuge and nurture for residents, manifesting an embodiment of perpetual interconnectedness between the two. / Master of Architecture / Ever thought about how our memories of childhood play a role in the way we feel about the places we live as adults? We all have a natural connection to nature and trees, but in today's bustling cities and crowded neighborhoods, the idea of gardens alongside homes is no longer possible. This study aims to bring back the charm of gardens in our urban lives, not just as a side feature, but as the heart of our homes. Envision a scenario where our dwellings and nature become inseparable companions. This research wants to make architecture more than just walls – it wants homes to be like cozy forests or fruitful orchards where being at home is like having a picnic under a tree. By teaming up with a coresiding forest, the proposed architectural building doesn't only serve as a vessel to our childhood, but it also helps us deal with problems like noise, dirt, and city heat. The result from this thesis is an architectural model, a residential building type where trees and houses are like a perfect pair, creating spaces that wrap us in comfort and give us something back.

<p>Although research in business ethics has of late received increased attention from researchers and practitioners, little has been written on the practical effects of its implementation.</p><p>The aim of the present study is, therefore, to explore the meaning and implications of business ethics from a practical perspective. To these ends, a qualitative study, mainly based on a grounded theory approach, has been carried out. The target of analysis is a corpus material derived from informants from 9 companies ranging from different sectors: 2 from the manufacturing sector, 1 company from the pharmaceutical sector and 6 companies from the financial sector.</p><p>The results show that almost all the companies under consideration have set up some ethical structures for implementing their ethical practices, and lived up to the embraced ethical values in their business conduct. The results also indicate that the companies have actually responded favorably to the requirements and demands of various stakeholders.</p><p>Furthermore, the emerging structures constitute the basis of a fully operative concept for organizing and implementing an ethical business conduct in organizations. This concept mainly consists of the following categories: ethics, rules, institutionalization, observing and abiding. These can all be applied separately or as a whole and as such be an instrument for measuring an organizations ethical level.</p><p> </p>
