Ahlin, Hanna January 2007 (has links)
<p>This research project is about how the subjects` art and music has been described under the 20th century in the Swedish school until today. The purpose with this research project is to do a text analysis that describes these subjects now and the last century, to illustrate the differences between today and the last century. Hence the size of this subject I have chosen some random samples out of the 20th century until today. I started to take these random samples from the first lyric I found about these subjects, and continued with these random samples in other lyrics from the middle of the 20th century until the year 2006. I just took these random samples from what I had found because I did not found some lyrics from earlier period of the 20th century. After a few weeks of material researching I started to write down my text analysis.</p><p>The result of the research project when it comes to the earlier parts of the 20th century art and music subjects´ was that they where used to raise up the students and teach them how to behave in working life. It was the adults who choose what was best for the students and it was about preparation for the life as an adult. Through art the students should learn how to draw of a tool from different works of that epoch and the music was about how to learn a psalm or a song by heart that could be about how one should behave oneself.</p><p>The results of my research project when it comes to today is that the differences between yesterdays school and today’s that today these subjects are more independent fore the students then before. On the basis of the conditions of the students they can use these subjects both as a way to express them self in other subjects then art and music, and it is also another way to take some learning about there own culture like others cultures. It is the imagination of the students that should characterize the subjects` art and music. The school wants through these subjects` that the students shall get a better self – confidence about them self and that the students shall take other cultures closer to them and there way of seeing at these subjects.</p>

Time Piece

Wahlgren, Johan January 2011 (has links)

Peterson, Emelie January 2010 (has links)

Safe, Simple and Effective Cleaning of Shellac Coated Furniture : are Tensides a Well Motivated Alternative?

Rydell, Sofia January 2009 (has links)
<p>The aim of this report is to investigate whether there is one method for cleaning of shellac coated surfaces which could replace the other methods usually used in restorers/conservators workshops, a method which reaches up to a set of formulated standards concerning safety, efficiency and simplicity. Frequent use of organic solvents and materials with unknown, uninvestigated content constitutes a potential risk in a long term perspective, both for the worker and the object. If it is possible to replace these methods with one that is scientifically investigated, this must be seen as a better alternative. The range of different cleaning material has been looked into and from the set of standards one non-ionic tenside has been picked out for further investigation. Theoretically, non-ionic tensides is to be considered as more suitable for cleaning of shellac surfaces since they interact with the surface in a less harmful way than ionic tensides. From cleaning analysis it has shown that the non-ionic tenside Tinovetin® JUN gives pleasing cleaning results equivalent to the ordinary washing up liquid, “Fairy” (in Sweden known as “Yes”). However, from wetting ability analysis it shows that “Fairy” is more powerful. A contact angle analysis showed that Tinovetin® JUN leaves more residue than “Fairy” but the difference is not remarkable. Since washing up liquid contain ionic tensides, it is motivated to advocate Tinovetin® JUN preferably to “Fairy”.</p>

Fiskeskinn : en underutnyttet ressurs

Jensen Langaard, Elin January 2010 (has links)

Mattsson, Linnéa January 2009 (has links)
<p>Edsbyverken Office Furniture has over the past 100 years been producing delicate carpentry products, chairs and skiis, but more recently the focus has shifted to furniture for the modern office environment. With a wide selection of products and its characteristic neutral design, Edsbyverken has an extensive group of clients both in Sweden and internationally. The aim of my C level thesis project was to examine the materials Edsbyverken is currently using in order to develop new designs or product functions. Simultanesously, I also wanted to verify whether the method I developed for this project - to initially undertake a comprehensive study of the chosen materials and thereafter specialise on a certain product and target audience – was effective and successful. Through site visits, a literature review and interviews with key personell the theoretic foundation for the project was established. I have throughout the project focused on Edsbyverken’s material choices and products and by studying the skilled carpenters at Edsbyverken, as well as other sectors and products, I got inspiration for new and alternative ways of using materials and products. After analysis of the theoretical findings, I selected the materials and products that I wanted to bring forward in this project. The outcome of this work is a product with a simple design and intriguing details – Lindesk. The purpose of my product is to increase the sense of wellbeing and comfort while in large premises and rooms. Since my method was based on the material choice, my product may differ from an eqivalent product with only Edsbyverken’s target audience in mind. The benefits of this method is that significant consideration was taken to the material’s characteristics and my expectation is thus that the material is utilised and enjoyed to the greatest extent possible.</p>
