Orientador: Renato Leite Marcondes / Banca: Sigismundo Bialoskorski Neto / Banca: Renato Leite Marcondes / Banca: Fausto Saretta / Resumo: O presente trabalho buscou, através da análise de registros de compra e venda de imóveis rurais dentro da Comarca de Barra do Garças, mostrar resultados que pudessem contribuir de forma construtiva para o enriquecimento da historiografia da região leste matogrossense e do estado de Mato Grosso em geral. Nesse sentido, as principais questões abordadas estão relacionadas ao processo de ocupação da região do Vale do Araguaia, bem como seu desenvolvimento econômico no período de 1950 a 1975. Os resultados obtidos a partir do estudo do mercado imobiliário coincidiram e reforçaram a escassa historiografia existente sobre essa região. / Abstract: The present paper searched, through the analysis of purchase and selling records of agricultural properties inside the judicial district of Barra do Garças, to show results that could contribute in a constructive way for Mato Grosso’s east region(and also for all Mato Grosso state) historiografic enrichment. In this direction, the main approached questions are related to the process of occupation of the Araguaia Valley area, as well as its economic development in the period from 1950 to 1975. The results gotten from the real estate market study matched and strengthened the scarce existing historiografy of this region. / Mestre
