The thesis focuses on a complete evaluation of the financial situation of a selected company. It is especially an application of the most popular methods used by financial analysis. The so-called elementary methods which are primarily ratio, differential and total indicators play a key role there. First part of the work is devoted to theoretical foundations, on which the financial situation leans; the second part is focused on a practical use of theoretical knowledge. In the conclusion of this work I am pointing out both positive and especially negative aspects of the financial management of the company, which the company should avoid in next years.

This diploma thesis describes issues of use of means of artificial intelligence for the decision making support on stock market. It includes theoretical knowledge of technical, fundamental and psychological analysis and artificial intelligence. Based on these facts have been created specific suggestions for the use of artificial neural networks to forecast the future value of the index S&P 500 by using development environment of the MATLAB software.

This Master´s thesis focuses on analyzing a firm of my choosing. More specifically, it is a limited liability firm operating in the fields of architecture, design and construction. Using both external and internal analysis, including other selected analyses and their results, it clarifies the firm's position in the market in which it operates and evaluates its overall condition and structure. The conclusion advises on several proposals that lead to the overall improved state of the chosen firm.

This master´s thesis deals with evaluation of financial situation of the company CECHO - BOHUMIL CEMPÍREK s.r.o. in years 2007 - 2011 using selected indicators of financial analysis. The thesis is divided into four basic parts. In the first part there are defined problems and objective of thesis. This diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of a selected company through the modern indicator of Economic Value Added (EVA). The company´s financial health is outlined by a financial analysis. The analysis became the basis for the calculation of the EVA indicator. Selected adjustments to the accounting data are necessary for the calculation. Based on the findings measures are proposed that contribute to the increase of Economic Value Added and eliminate the effects of its decline.

This thesis deals with the fundamental analysis of stocks of selected European technology companies. This type of analysis is the most widely used method of valuation of the shares. The first part describes the theoretical background of the analysis current economic situation, regression analysis, analysis of corporate shares and methods of intercompany comparison necessary for practical application. In the practical part focuses on the analysis of selected companies and selecting evaluation indicators. Subsequently is determined by corporate analysis the current intrinsic value of the shares. In conclusion, a comparison is made of firms using the methods of intercompany comparison. Based on the results of the analysis will be proposed recommendations for the best investment.
