Viacava Masson, Bianca Lucia 26 May 2023 (has links)
The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between sense of life and hope in a group of 131 older adults from Metropolitan Lima, ages ranged between 60 and 84 years old. The Purpose in Life Test (PIL) adapted by Bartschi (1999) was used to measure the sense of life, and the Revised Herth Hope Scale (HHS-R) adapted by Martinez et al. (2012) to evaluate hope. Specifically, the existing differences in the psychological variables were analyzed, based on the sociodemographic variables such as sex and having a partner. The results indicate that there is a positive relationship between sense of life and hope and in most of its corresponding dimensions. Among the sociodemographic variables, there are no significant differences in relation to the global psychological variables, only in the agency dimension according to having a partner.
