The purpose of the present study was to detect the impairment of the geniturinary tract in EEC syndrome, through clinical, laboratory and image analysis (ultrassonography, excretory urogram and voiding cystourethrogram). Twenty-five patients who presented the EEC syndrome were studied and urinary tract anomalies were detect in 13 (52%) cases. Surgical treatment was performed in 8 (32%) patients, while the remaining 5 (20%) patients needed a periodic clinical follow-up. These data allow to conclud that the patients whit the EEC syndrome should be submitted to radiological and ultrasonographic evaluation of the urinary tract. / Doutorado / Mestre em Cirurgia
