Este estudio tuvo el objetivo de explorar la asociación entre las dimensiones del apego romántico -ansiedad y evitación- con las dimensiones de masculinidad y femineidad - masculinidad, femineidad, machismo y sumisión-. Participaron 250 estudiantes universitarios limeños entre 18 y 25 años. Para evaluar el apego romántico se utilizó la escala Experience in Close Relationship-Revised (ECR-R) y para la masculinidad y feminidad se utilizó el Inventario sobre Masculinidades y Femineidades (IMAFE). Los resultados indican que existe una relación entre los constructos de acuerdo a lo esperado a partir de la literatura, lo que mostraría un primer acercamiento en el contexto peruano a la asociación entre las características de apego de las personas producto de sus primeros vínculos y los roles de género socialmente aprendidos. Estos podrían ser factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de dinámicas violentas en las relaciones de pareja. / The aim of this research was to explore the relationship between the dimensions of romantic attachment -anxiety and avoidance- and the dimensions of masculinity and femininity -masculinity, femininity, machismo and submission-. For this purpose, 250 university students from Lima between 18 and 25 years of age participated in the study. The Experience in Close Relationship-Revised (ECR-R) scale was used to evaluate romantic attachment and the Inventory on Masculinities and Femininities (IMAFE) was used to evaluate masculinity and femininity. The results indicated that there is a relationship between the constructs, which would show a first approach in the Peruvian context to the association between the attachment characteristics of people resulting from their first attachments and the socially learned gender roles that could be risk factors for the development of violent dynamics in couple relationships.
