O livro é constituído de 338 microcontos publicados originalmente no jornal Folha de S. Paulo. Para a publicação em livro, os textos foram agrupados em cinco conjuntos, divididos em subconjuntos pelo editor Wagner Carelli. Analisamos a situação da prosa brasileira contemporânea, do mercado editorial nacional e da produção de João Gilberto Noll e propomos formas de entender a estrutura do livro, considerando os aspectos editoriais e autorais. Faz-se também um breve histórico do conto e do microconto, dando ênfase à produção microcontística de Gilberto Noll. As reflexões deste trabalho se amplificam ao estudarmos a lógica organizacional cosmogônica da obra, tendo no mito da criação uma de suas linhas de força. Durante o trabalho, deparamo-nos com três microcontos que não foram inseridos em Mínimos, múltiplos, comuns (NOLL, 2003) e que são aqui analisados, permitindo reflexões a respeito da autoria / Abstract: The present research aims to study the major theoretical developments and critical of the unique composition of Mínimos, múltiplos, comuns (NOLL, 2003). The book consists of 338 short stories originally published in the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo. For book publication, the texts were grouped into five sets, divided into subsets by the publisher Wagner Carelli. We analyzed the situation of contemporary Brazilian prose, the publishing industry and national production of João Gilberto Noll and propose ways to understand the structure of the book, taking into consideration editorial and copyright. It also makes a brief history of the tale and short story, emphasizing the production of Gilberto Noll. The reflections of this work is amplified when studying the organizational logic of cosmogonic work, and the myth of creation as one of its lines of force. During the work, we find three short stories that were not included in Mínimos, múltiplos, comuns (NOLL, 2003) and are reviewed here, allowing reflections on authorship / Mestre

Em uma primeira etapa buscou-se refletir a questão da poesia no romance no âmbito geral da prosa romanesca: Mikhail Bakhtin refere-se a essa problemática no ensaio "O Discurso no romance". Para ele, a poesia e o romance estariam em campos opostos: enquanto neste se constata uma tendência à fragmentação da linguagem (refletindo, direta ou indiretamente, a estratificação social); naquela, ocorre uma tendência à centralização da linguagem (refletindo os processos sociais mais duráveis). Em razão dessa particularidade a poesia no romance, na grande maioria das vezes, não desempenha um papel de relevo: ou é rechaçada, mediante a ironia, a sátira, a paródia e a análise crítica ou permanece sob a forma de núcleos isolados distribuídos ao longo do texto romanesco. Em alguns casos raros, como no romance Memorial de Aires, a linguagem poética não só é importante enquanto voz isolada, mas também teria uma função determinante na composição geral do estilo deste romance. / Abstract: The present dissertation has, as a main target, the study of poetry in Memorial de Aires, by Machado de Assis. In its first part, we tried to reflect on the poetry in the novel, in the general scope of the novelistic prose: Mikhail Bakhtin refers to this subject in his essay "Discourse in novel". As he considers, poetry and novel would be in opposite fields: while in the last one we confirm a tendency to a language breaking up (reflecting, direct or indirectly, the social stratification), in that one, it occurs a tendency to language centralization (reflecting the more durable social processes). Because of this particularity, poetry in novel, in its great majority, doesn’t play a relevant role: either it is rejected by irony, satire, parody and critical analysis, or it remains in the form of isolated nucleus, distributed along the novelistic text. In some rare cases, as in the novel Memorial de Aires, the poetic language is not only important as an isolated voice, but also would have a determining function in the general composition style of this novel. / Doutor

Orientador: Sônia Helena de Oliveira Raymundo Piteri / Banca: Márcia Valéria Zamboni Gobbi / Banca: Antonio Manoel dos Santos Silva / Resumo: Este trabalho propõe-se a estudar Balada da Praia dos Cães (1982), de José Cardoso Pires, sob a perspectiva da paródia do romance policial, tendo em vista que essa obra utiliza-se de procedimentos típicos desse gênero para, a partir de dentro, subvertê-lo. A subversão manifesta-se, principalmente, pelo desvio no foco da narrativa, que deixa de ser a resolução do enigma, como no romance policial clássico, e passa a ser a construção do texto/inquérito por parte do detetive e do narrador, ou seja, a obra não tem como foco principal descobrir quem, como e por que ocorreu o crime, mas sim desvendar o processo de composição narrativa. Nesse sentido, pode-se dizer que o romance cardoseano engendra uma reflexão metalingüística que se desdobra em dois planos: por um lado, vemo-nos diante de um texto que nos revela os próprios mecanismos que o constroem, principalmente, pela recorrência e subversão do paradigma policial, e, por outro, temos um romance sobre o processo pelo qual o detetive elabora uma narrativa a partir das provas, indícios, etc. Tendo em vista essa configuração, destacam-se as instâncias do narrador e do autor, que instauram no romance uma rede de desconfianças que desestabilizam as noções de "verdade" e "autoridade" a partir do exame e questionamento dos mais diversos discursos que se fazem presentes na obra de Cardoso Pires. / Abstract: This paper aims at studying Balada da Praia dos Cães (1982), by José Cardoso Pires, from the perspective of the detective novel parody, considering that the novel uses the typical procedures of this genre and then subverts it. Subversion is manifested mainly by diverting the focus of the narrative, which is no longer the puzzle solving, as it is in the classic detective story, but the construction of the text/inquest by the detective and the narrator, that is, the novel is not focused on finding out who, how and why the crime occurred, but to unravel the process of the narrative composition. In this sense, it can be said that the cardoseano novel engenders a metalinguistic reflection that unfolds on two levels: on the one hand, we are faced with a text that reveals its own mechanisms of construction, mainly for the recurrence and the subversion of the detective paradigm, and, on the other hand, we have a novel about the process by which the detective creates a narrative based on the proof, evidences, etc. Given this setting, the highlights are on the instances of the narrator and the author, which introduce in the novel a network of suspicions that destabilize the notions of "truth" and "authority" from the examination and questioning of many different speeches that are made present in the work of Cardoso Pires. / Mestre
