Automatic Generation of On-Chip Bus Infrastructure for System-on-ChipChen, Chun-Chang 15 December 2004 (has links)
For the on-chip bus, flexibility is the key to reuse by enabling developers to select the optimal architecture to efficiently meet the performance requirements of a wide variety of systems. AMBA is an open standard, on-chip bus specification that details a strategy for the interconnection and management of functional blocks that makes up a System-on-Chip (SoC). AMBA will let designers multiply the total bandwidth available in a system without changing the bus interface on existing intellectual property (IP) cores. Sometimes, the SoC designer to select the optimal combination of bus frequency (to match the peripherals) and number of channels (to achieve the bandwidth), using the AMBA Multi-layer architecture. The AHB of the AMBA System Bus connects embedded processors such as an ARM core to high-performance peripherals, DMA controllers, on-chip memory and interfaces. It is a high-speed, high-bandwidth bus that supports multi-master bus management to maximize system performance. In this thesis, we implement an software, Automatic Generation of On-Chip Bus Infrastructure for SoC, and it supports the AMBA AHB, Multi-layer AHB architecture to optimize system bandwidth, or AHB-Lite to streamline single master layers. By user set up, it can generate the relative on-chip bus infrastructure. We use each AHB Monitor of SDV and Synposys to validate the protocol of infrastructure respectively. In Test Patterns, we use Bus Functional Model to verify all type transfers of bus. In hardware implement, we use SYS32TM, SYS32TME, SYS16TM, and MEMCU to integrate three type AHBs. Every example, we also build FPGA prototyping and chip layout. We do this to validate our on-chip bus infrastructure.

Ανάπτυξη cache controller βασισμένο στον δίαυλο AHB bus / Cache controller based on AHB busΓερακάρης, Δημήτρης 16 May 2014 (has links)
arm Cortex M0.
Cache controller compatible with AHB bus in system Verilog.

Critical factors for service quality in the intercity bus transport industryPan, Qi January 2008 (has links)
Thesis (M.Tech.: Marketing)-Dept. of Marketing, Durban University of Technology, 2008. xiii, 135 leaves. / South Africa will host the Soccer World Cup in 2010. About 2.7 million local spectators and 400,000 visitors need to be transferred to and from the 10 host cities in 43 days. This is a huge challenge to the intercity bus transport industry, because the current transport system may not meet the demand for one of the world’s largest sporting event.
The purpose of this study is to identify the current barriers to good service quality in the intercity bus transport industry. It focuses on the measurement of service quality and communication. In this research, the literature survey defined the service quality “gap” in this industry, identified the role of effective communication in the service delivery system, measured the variables affecting current service delivery using the SERVQUAL instrument, and prioritized the importance of the factors influencing service delivery in this industry.
A questionnaire with 25 questions was designed to collect data. This study used convenience sampling to select 400 passengers as a sample, viz. 348 South Africans and 52 foreigners at the Durban bus station, since Durban is one of the ten host cities of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The data was analysed using SPSS.
The results of this research pointed to the importance of external communication in the industry. Specific recommendations are made to improve the productivity, reduce vacancy rate and maximize the benefits to this industry in 2010 and beyond.

The behavior of vehicles under impact is great importance in automotive engineering with a considerable amount of technical work in this area. The study of this kind of problem using shell finite element models is used with success. However, for certain types of studies, such as structural optimization, requires the ability to create models that, without losing the essence of the problem, to obtain solutions in reduced computational time. In this context, the proposed work is intended to develop a methodology to optimize, using the method of genetic algorithms, single-line structures formed by flexible and/or stiff rods together by non-linear joints. The adjustment of nonlinear stiffness of the spherical and translational joints that simulate the behavior of structural elements is obtained from the analysis of shell finite element models that capture the behavior of thin-walled tube, or otherwise, for analytical methods. The assessment of security in automotive vehicles of the type intercity bus is not properly regulated. National companies in the business manufacture of bus bodies have sought to international standards, supply companies chassis, government agencies such as INMETRO, IBAMA and DENATRAN subsidies for development of a proprietary technology for the design of its structures. An evaluation of the safety of occupants of such vehicle shall be an important item to be checked. This work presents a methodology for assessing the safety of structures under frontal impact and from that one to propose alternatives to provide the bus structure capacity to absorb all energy produced during the impact event.
