IVDS Consumer Control Unit Evolution and Bar Code Interface Design

The Interactive Video and Data System is a multidisciplinary research project involving the creation of a means for people to interact with television and printed media without the addition of expensive hardware as required by most interactive systems available today. The IVDS system consists of a Consumer Control Unit which transmits user requests, a Repeater Unit which receives transmissions from the CCUs, and a Host System which takes appropriate actions for user demands. This thesis follows the evolution of the original CCU prototype as more capabilities are added and hardware platforms are changed, focusing on the addition of a bar code interface to the CCU. / Master of Science

This thesis deals with proposal for an education program for employees of UHS JAKOS, a.s. which implemented a new information system 3 year ago and because of this they are planning to implement a bar codes. The analysis was realized by questionnaire survey between the employees who will work with the bar codes. The thesis is divided into 3 sections. The first section is theoretical and describes an education as process of change during implementing the bar codes. Next is analysis section which describes a current situation in the company by questionnaire. At the end it focuses on proposal of education program which will get easy the implementing of code bars.

The systém should improve and modernize work of the employees and the clients in the process of attending the sales return. The systém will contain two kinds of the users. The client can make sales returns and view data about his sales returns. The employee can edit all data about the sales returns and the clients. The employee segment is implemented with the five-dimension model access data.
