Orientador: Antonio Celso de Oliveira Braga / Banca: José Eduardo Zaine / Banca: José Domingos Faraco Gallas / Resumo: Neste trabalho faz-se uma análise do enquadramento dos cursos d'água em classes de uso como instrumento de gestão ambiental e gestão dos recursos hídricos aplicados à bacia do Rio Corumbataí. O enquadramento integra o planejamento ambiental no sentido de se evitar ou minimizar os efeitos nocivos de fatores naturais e de ações antrópicas exercidas sobre os recursos hídricos. Neste contexto são abordados os conceitos gerais de planejamentos, os aspectos institucionais e legais relativos à gestão, os usos da água e seus principais indicadores de qualidade. O Rio Corumbataí está enquadrado na classe 2 (Decreto Estadual no. 10.755/77), sendo suas águas destinadas ao abastecimento urbano, às atividades agropecuárias e a recepção de esgotos, sendo que seu estado atual apresenta inconformidade com sua classificação. A análise das projeções futuras, de demanda de água e produção de cargas poluidoras (remanescentes) indica grande dificuldade da manutenção da classe atual, devendo ser o Rio Corumbataí reenquadrado na classe 3 no trecho compreendido entre Rio Claro e a sua foz. A efetivação do reenquadramento deverá ser objeto de consulta aos usuários e a comunidade local, pois haverá uma exigência menor da qualidade da água, que se refletirá na disciplina da utilização, do aproveitamento e a recepção de cargas poluidoras, que dará novo subsídio ao planejamento ambiental da bacia. / Abstract: This work made an analysis of the classifications from the courses of water in classes of use with instrument of administration environmental and administration from the water resources applied on the basin River Corumbataí.
