Uma abordagem etnomatem?tica sobre as implica??es dos n?meros no Batuque do Rio Grande do Sul

The participants that participate of the survey were four babalorix?s with more of 20 years of cult to the orix?s and they belong to some na??es that are practed in Rio Grande do Sul. All the participants live in Rio Grande do Sul and it?s il?s are operating.The instruments used to collect information were an interview from a semi structures questionary and with observations realized at one of the babalorix??s Il?. The method used was Etnomathematics present on the researchs of D?Ambr?sio (1985,1993,1996, 2001) and Gerdes (1989,1991,2012). To analyze the answers given by the participants of the survey, was used discursive textual analyses ( MORAES; GALIAZZI, 2011). First the categories were structures in three types : knowledges?s generation; knowledge?s organization and knowledge?s diffusion. Using this categories, new categories were created making possible the understanding of the answers for the questions of the survey. Using the conventions realized by the precorsors of Batuque in Rio Grande do Sul, it?s evident that in relation of the generation of knowledge each Orix? has a number, multiple and submultiple related, and this number must be respect in all the obligations. The knowledge?s organizations shows that exist defined rules about the use of numbers which are sacred. In relation to that , the belief in geometric shapes is required to preserv the cult and it?s organization.The knowledge?s diffusion shows that numbers are used in all the rituals that belongs to Batuque of Rio Grande do Sul, because they represent the orix?s. Besides, the analysi?s results reveal that numbers used are essencial for the maintenance and to continue the cult using the numbers multiples and submultiples of each Orix? that are organized all the rituals of Batuque from Rio Grande do Sul. Since an simple offering until monetary values that are collected on the il?s, the numbers of the orix?s are involved and are representative. The using of geometry to prepare the food for the orix?s also obey rules related to the Na??o that is praticed. I conclude that although the participants don?t know exactly how to explain the origin of the numbers, inside of the culture, the analyze about what they said shows that it was associated by the miths that each Orix? has, and for the mystic meaning that numbers represents for the african culture. / Este estudo apresenta uma an?lise dos processos de gera??o, organiza??o e difus?o relacionados aos saberes envolvidos na associa??o dos n?meros, ? representa??o m?stica utilizada no Batuque do Rio Grande do Sul. Os participantes de pesquisa foram quatro babalorix?s com mais de vinte anos de culto aos orix?s e pertencentes a algumas na??es praticadas no Rio Grande do Sul. Todos os participantes de pesquisa residem no Rio Grande do Sul e seus il?s est?o em funcionamento. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram entrevistas semiestruturadas e observa??es realizadas no Il? de um dos babalorix?s. O m?todo de pesquisa utilizado foi a Etnomatem?tica alicer?ada principalmente nos estudos de D?Ambrosio (1985,1993, 1996, 2001) e Gerdes (1989, 1991, 2012). Como m?todo de an?lise das respostas fornecidas pelos participantes de pesquisa utilizou-se a An?lise Textual Discursiva (MORAES; GALIAZZI, 2011). A estrutura??o das categoriza??es teve como base tr?s categorias a priori: Gera??o dos saberes; Organiza??o dos saberes; Difus?o dos saberes. A partir dessas categorias, subcategorias emergiram possibilitando a compreens?o e encaminhamento ?s respostas das quest?es de pesquisa. A partir de conven??es realizadas pelos precursores do Batuque do Rio Grande do Sul evidencia-se que, em rela??o ? Gera??o dos saberes, cada Orix? possui um n?mero, m?ltiplo e subm?ltiplo atribu?do e esse n?mero deve ser respeitado em todas as obriga??es. A respeito da Organiza??o dos saberes, mostra-se que existem normas definidas acerca do uso dos n?meros e que os mesmos s?o sagrados. Do mesmo modo, cren?as relacionadas ?s formas geom?tricas se mostraram necess?rias para a preserva??o do culto e sua organiza??o. Acerca da Difus?o dos saberes, aponta-se que os n?meros s?o utilizados em todos os rituais pertencentes ao Batuque do Rio Grande do Sul, pois os mesmos representam os orix?s. Al?m disso, os resultados da an?lise revelam que os n?meros utilizados s?o essenciais para a manuten??o e continuidade do culto, uma vez que ? a partir dos n?meros de cada Orix?, seus m?ltiplos e subm?ltiplos que s?o organizados todos os rituais do Batuque do Rio Grande do Sul. Desde uma simples oferenda at? valores monet?rios cobrados nos il?s, os n?meros dos orix?s est?o implicados e s?o representativos. O uso da geometria no preparo das comidas dos orix?s tamb?m segue normas estabelecidas de acordo com a Na??o praticada. Por fim, concluo que, embora os participantes de pesquisa n?o saibam explicitamente explicar a origem dos n?meros, dentro de sua cultura, a an?lise de seus ditos sugere que os mesmos foram associados por meio dos mitos que cada Orix? traz e pelo significado m?stico que os n?meros representam para a cultura africana.
