Investimentos na expansão da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica resultam na criação de novos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. Com foco nos Institutos Federais que ofertam cursos técnicos de nível médio, tem-se, nesta pesquisa, como objetivo geral analisar as competências profissionais dos bibliotecários que atuam nas bibliotecas escolares dos campi dos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia das regiões Nordeste e Sul do país. Para atingir este objetivo, definiram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: a) caracterizar o bibliotecário escolar dos Institutos Federais das regiões Nordeste e Sul do Brasil; b) mapear as competências dos bibliotecários escolares dos Institutos Federais das regiões Nordeste e Sul do Brasil; c) identificar em que áreas os bibliotecários buscam formação continuada. Este estudo se fundamenta em um referencial teórico constituído dos seguintes tópicos: sociedade da informação; as profissões; competências; profissional da informação; biblioteca e bibliotecário escolar; e educação profissional e tecnológica no Brasil. Essa pesquisa é exploratória, descritiva e quanti-qualitativa. O instrumento de coleta de dados utilizado foi um questionário. Os resultados evidenciam que os bibliotecários escolares dos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia das regiões Nordeste e Sul do país têm o seguinte perfil: um homem ou uma mulher; com idade entre 30 e 39 anos; formado em uma Universidade Federal; fez curso de especialização; atua na área há pelo menos cinco anos; trabalha na Instituição no período compreendido entre três e sete anos; e tem experiência profissional anterior. Entre as competências profissionais evidenciadas pelos bibliotecários participantes, as mais importantes são: as ações para formação dos usuários, a cooperação com o processo de ensino e aprendizagem, o gerenciamento de unidades de informação e a transformação da sociedade. A formação continuada tem sido feita pelos bibliotecários e, mesmo com uma formação acadêmica satisfatória, eles percebem a importância da qualificação profissional para a prestação de serviços de melhor qualidade.<br> / Abstract : The transformations in the fields of economy, politics and culture provide a re-evaluation of the vocational education in Brazil. Investments in the expansion of the Federal Vocational and Technological education in Brazil result in the creation of new Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. Focusing on the Federal Institutes that offer technical courses at the secondary level, this research aims at analyzing the professional skills of librarians working in school libraries of the campi of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology in the Northeast and South regions of Brazil. To achieve this main objective, specific goals were defined: a) characterize the school librarian of the federal institutes of the Northeast and South of Brazil; b) map the the school librarians?skills of the Federal Institutes of the Northeast and South regions of Brazil; c) identify where librarians seek continuing education. This study is based on a theoretical framework constituted of the following topics: the information society; the professions; skills; information professionals; library and school librarian; and vocational and technological education in Brazil. This research is exploratory, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The results show that the school librarians of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology in the Northeast and South regions of the country have the following profile: he or she is a man or a woman; aged between 30 and 39 years; undergraduated in a federal university; has a degree in a graduation program; has been working in the area for at least five years; has been working at the institution between three and seven years; and has previous work experience. Among the professional skills evidenced by the participating librarians, the most important ones are: the actions for users? training, the cooperation with the process of teaching and learning, the management of information units and the transformation of the society. Continuing education has been carried out by the librarians and, even with a reasonable academic background, they realize the importance of professional qualification for the provision of services with better quality.

Essas mudanças impactam direta e indiretamente no setor da educação, pois este é o responsável pela formação dos cidadãos, garantindo que tenham competências e habilidades essenciais para manter-se nesse contexto. Nesta dissertação, tem-se como tema as ações do bibliotecário que contribuem na formação de estudantes pesquisadores no ensino médio de escolas particulares de Florianópolis. O objetivo geral consiste em investigar a atuação do bibliotecário escolar na formação de estudantes pesquisadores. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa e pode ser classificada como uma pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e estudo de caso. Constatou-se que ocorrem ações isoladas na atuação do bibliotecário no que se refere à pesquisa e à formação dos estudantes. Destacaram-se as iniciativas que disponibilizam manuais com informações sobre a pesquisa, os projetos desenvolvidos em parceria com os professores e o incentivo à leitura.<br> / Abstract : In the information society, changes are promoted in different sectors that directly affect the way we live and relate. These changes impact directly and indirectly on the education sector, since it is responsible for training citizens, ensuring that they have the skills and abilities essential to remain in that context. In this dissertation, one has as subject the actions of the librarian that contribute in the formation of student researchers in the high school of private schools of Florianópolis. The general objective is to investigate the role of the school librarian in the training of student researchers. As for the methodological procedures, this is an exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach and can be classified as a bibliographical, documentary and case study research. It was verified that there are isolated actions in the librarian's performance regarding the research and the formation of the students. The initiatives that provided manuals with information about the research, the projects developed in partnership with the teachers and the incentive to the reading were highlighted.

Metodologicamente sistematiza-se em dois momentos distintos: o primeiro ocorre por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, denominada estado do conhecimento sobre a Biblioteconomia Escolar no Brasil, que tem como fonte os 91 trabalhos sobre biblioteca escolar apresentados no XXI, XXII, XXIII, XXIV e XXV CBBD; o segundo é orientado pela perspectiva de pesquisa colaborativa que acompanha as atividades realizadas na relação biblioteca-escola-bibliotecário na unidade de ensino fundamental da Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória-ES. Apropria-se dos textos de Certeau, para demarcar as concepções de lugar, espaço, tática, estratégia e usos, e de Campello, para compreender o estado da arte sobre a biblioteca escolar entre 1960 e 2011. Constata que a leitura, além de outras possibilidades, é o principal foco dos trabalhos apresentados no CBBD e o principal objetivo da bibliotecária pesquisada na realização dos seus fazeres profissionais cotidianos que se materializam por meio de atividades que utilizam como recursos a música, o hip-hop, as artes visuais, a contação de histórias, a poesia e a ocupação da biblioteca, conforme os desejos dos seus sujeitos praticantes, visando com isso romper o silenciamento desse espaço. Constata, ainda, que é necessária a realização de um trabalho mais articulado entre bibliotecários e demais educadores da escola, visto que se identificaram parcerias frutíferas pontuais entre esses sujeitos que poderiam expandir-se para toda a escola. Além disso, defende a necessidade de permanente reinvenção do espaço da biblioteca escolar para atender às expectativas de seus usuários. / The objective is to understand the behavior of School Librarianship theme, taking as main source the works presented in the Brazilian Congresses of Librarianship, Documentation and Information Science (CBBDs) between 2005 and 2013, and the working method of a school librarian, through the systematic monitoring of their daily activities in relationship with students, teachers and pedagogues, using as context the elementary Municipal School Aristóbulo Barbosa Leão, Vitória-ES. Methodologically we systematized into two distinct periods: the first one occurs through a bibliographical research, called the State of Knowledge about the School Librarianship in Brazil, which is based in the 91 works on school library presented at the XXI, XXII, XXIII, XXIV and XXV CBBDs; the second was made according to collaborative research that accompanies the activities carried out in relation to “schoollibrary-librarian” in the elementary schools of the municipality of Vitória-ES. It was used the texts of Certeau, to demarcate the conceptions of place, space, tactics, strategies and uses, and those of Campello, to understand the state of the art about the school library between 1960 and 2011. We concluded that reading, as well as other possibilities, is the main focus of the papers presented at the CBBDs and the main goal of the librarian followed in the accomplishment of their daily professionals tasks, that are materialized through activities that use resources as music, hip-hop music, the visual arts, the storytelling, poetry and the occupation of the library, according to the wishes of its subject practitioners, aiming with that to break the silencing of this space. Notes, moreover, that it is necessary to perform a job more articulate between librarians and other educators from school, since punctual and fruitful partnerships among those subjects were found and could be expanded to the entire school. In addition, advocates the need for permanent reinvention of space of school library to meet the expectations of its users.
