No universo dessa pesquisa, o foco de interesse está direcionado para a preservação da memória institucional por meio da gestão da informação arquivística governamental e o cerne da questão reside no seu gerenciamento. Descreve o cenário dos acervos federais, o papel dos arquivos e a atuação do Arquivo Nacional no desenvolvimento das atividades de gestão de documentos junto aos órgãos do Poder Executivo Federal. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / We seek to learn through this study the process of preservation of institutional memory within the federal executive branch, in order to investigate how the Brazilian government has been treating her and providing archival information in this particular case: the story of the environment. In the universe of this research, the focus of interest is directed to the preservation of institutional memory through the management of archival information and governmental heart of the matter lies in its management. Describes the landscape of federal archives, the role of archives and the work of the National Archives in the development of document management activities to the organs of the Federal Executive.
