Generating and Exploring Design Variations for Architectural and Urban LayoutsJanuary 2014 (has links)
abstract: This thesis focuses on generating and exploring design variations for architectural and urban layouts. I propose to study this general problem in three selected contexts.
First, I introduce a framework to generate many variations of a facade design that look similar to a given facade layout. Starting from an input image, the facade is hierarchically segmented and labeled with a collection of manual and automatic tools. The user can then model constraints that should be maintained in any variation of the input facade design. Subsequently, facade variations are generated for different facade sizes, where multiple variations can be produced for a certain size.
Second, I propose a method for a user to understand and systematically explore good building layouts. Starting from a discrete set of good layouts, I analytically characterize the local shape space of good layouts around each initial layout, compactly encode these spaces, and link them to support transitions across the different local spaces. I represent such transitions in the form of a portal graph. The user can then use the portal graph, along with the family of local shape spaces, to globally and locally explore the space of good building layouts.
Finally, I propose an algorithm to computationally design street networks that balance competing requirements such as quick travel time and reduced through traffic in residential neighborhoods. The user simply provides high-level functional specifications for a target neighborhood, while my algorithm best satisfies the specification by solving for both connectivity and geometric layout of the network. / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Computer Science 2014

Projektová dokumentace rodinného domku v rozsahu pro vydání stavebního povolení. / A project documentation of a family detached house on a scale needed to issue the building licence.TŮMA, Martin January 2008 (has links)
This thesis explains basic problems related to construction of the building. A primary goal of this work was set to work out a project of small detached house in given locality. This project has to reflect requirements of modern young family living. The appearance of house also has to respect circumstances of rural surrounding. The Local plan sets out a land use strategy for the district. During this work were all the regulations of planning policy followed. Designing building layouts to maximize the space use and improve accessibility inside buildings are important consideration for building designers. There were two possible building layouts designed. After due consideration was one of these variants chosen for further elaboration. The considerable work has been done by taking a general overview of the building process preparation. The main conclusion of this work is not only the spatial layout of one single house. Building law in the Czech Republic was completely modified year 2007. In connection with this modification, this work also provides a useful outline of new building act.

Directed visibility analysis: three case studies on the relationship between building layout, perception and behaviorLu, Yi 01 April 2011 (has links)
This is a study of the spatial affordances of buildings that allow them to organize and transmit cultural ideas and to support the performance of organizational roles. The particular affordances under consideration are those that arise from the manner in which buildings structure the visual fields that are potentially available to a situated observer.
In studying directed visibility patterns, supported by the development of appropriate analytical tools, we focus on a previously specified set of visual targets and ask how many become visible from each occupiable location. Parametric restrictions concerning the direction into which a subject faces and the viewing angle sustained by the target object are also taken into consideration. The aim is to demonstrate how such refinements of visibility analysis, lead to more precise and penetrating insights as to how building users tune their behavior to the spatial affordances of environment, and how the environment impacts their understanding in turn. Three different studies were presented. The fist used directed visibility measures to evaluate the affordances of different nursing-unit designs relative to how well nurses are able to survey patients in different rooms as they go about their duties. The second study focuses on the manner in which nurses and physicians position themselves in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU), particularly when interacting. The third study investigates how aware exhibition visitors become of the visual structure of environment and how the visibility structure of exhibitions affects the ability of visitors to conceptually group paintings according to their thematic content.
The case studies support the following conclusions.
1) The way in which people position themselves in an environment as they perform their assigned tasks is tuned to the way in which visual fields are structured.
2) The visual structure of environment is contingent upon the interaction between the underlying structure of visual fields and paths of movement.
3) Directed visibility analysis leads to stronger correlations with behavior and performance than generic visibility analysis. This implies that environments are layered. Their underlying spatial structure is charged by the distribution of the contents that are programmatically primary.

Hodnocení vlivu stavebních úprav a odlišných dispozic bytů na tržní hodnotu nemovitosti / Assessment of the Impact of Construction Work and Different Layout in Appartments on the Market ValueGilarová, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this dissertation is to find out the effect of alterations on market value of he property, specifically apartments in concrete-block buildings. Evaluation is made chiefly on factors influencing layout. First of all brief information about the subject is given. Secondly market influences are determined for the purpose of eliminating them by differential index and unifying input data. Afterwards, market values of apartments with alternations are compared with ones without alternations from database. At the end of the thesis alternations are calculated and recovery of the costs are detected.

Reálné rozdělení nemovitosti - zemědělské usedlosti / Real Estate Division - a FarmsteadŠťastný, Petr January 2012 (has links)
The present diploma thesis ‘Practical Division of a Real Estate – Agricultural Farmstead‘ is concerned with actual division of an agricultural homestead in XXX, the district of Olomouc. Based on the local examination which has been performed and after analyzing documents acquired from the owners, conclusions were drawn as to the possibility of dividing the estate while adhering to the applicable regulations of the civil procedure, construction law, construction technology, operational technology and economy. Valid price guidelines were used to determine the price of the estate and a comparative price of the estate was also estimated. Both price levels were also determined for the individual parts established by the practical division of the estate. The thesis consists of two basic sections. The first section focuses on theory, explaining the problem of practical division of an estate and providing a description of work of a certified expert drawing up this type of expert opinion. The second section comprises a practical part, which contains the expert opinion on the actual division of the agricultural homestead in the town of XXX in the Olomouc district.
