The thesis is focused on solving the problematic issue of how to evaluate companies at an early stage in their life cycle, or how to evaluate the start-ups. The concept of start-ups has very quickly expanded abroad, especially in the United States and in Canada. In recent years, this concept slowly extended even to the Czech Republic, but issues of valuation of start-ups are dealt almost exclusively in foreign publications focusing on foreign start-up companies. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to familiarize the reader with the basic issue of the valuation of start-ups and performance of the various methods and approaches to the valuation of start-ups.

The main purpose of the Master Thesis is creation of the business plan on the establishment of the new preschool education institution Family Education Center. The center will be specialized in operating a kindergarten as well as in organizing educational and personal development activities for children and adults. The theoretical part of the thesis gives some insights on the importance of the entrepreneur and enterprises in the society, provides description of the basic requirements for a business plan and characteristics of the preschool education system in the Czech Republic. Practical part provides an application of the theoretical findings on the creation of the actual business plan. This part verifies the viability and competitiveness of the business project on the basis of the market analysis, marketing and financial plan.

First part of the thesis compares available approaches on business planning, namely the traditional and newly emerged and proposes a Business Planning Approach Selection Framework that should help (newbie) entrepreneurs with orientation in the chaotic business planning world and choosing an approach suiting their specific needs. Conclusion of the theoretical part is that both the traditional and modern business plans have their role in todays business environment. While the old are great for external presentation and funds securing, the new enable to create more complex process for planning successful business from the original idea to and beyond their launch, building on customer feedback and gradual iterations. The practical part then builds on the theoretical research and aims to check feasibility of an actual business project, a multisided platform mediating sales of automotive financial products. It describes the model refinement and product creation process as well as eventually proves viability and feasibility of the whole business.

The thesis "Summer festivals in historic buildings" is focused on festivals, their current position on the cultural scene and a brief description of monuments and the possibility of their animation. With the mutual comparison of selected festivals was in the practical part made a model of the Prague Baroque festival. The main goal of the work focused on the identification and description of the major factors that have a direct impact on the success of the festival and their subsequent application in the construction business plan model festival. Characteristics of selected projects, industry and competitor analysis and SWOT analysis provided the information necessary to create a business plan. Information sources were supplemented by quantitative spacecraft to provide feedback on the first year of the Prague Baroque Festival. The conclusion is devoted to the synthesis and evaluation of evidence linking the project with cultural heritage objects, their advantages and disadvantages.

The theoretical part serves to the reader as a manual, how to write a business plan. In each section the thesis lists necessary questions to be answered, the theory and the recommendations what to include in the business plan. The practical part represents a complete business plan of the development and op-eration of the biomass power plant with focus on the political analysis, key resources and financial analysis. In the end of the thesis the investment decision criteria are pre-sented together with the risks analysis, providing a solid information base upon which a potential investor can decide, whether to invest into the project.

The theoretical part covers mainly structure of the business plan, content of respective chapters, advantages and disadvantages of particular legal forms of companies and main economic indicators that are relevant for assessment of economic viability of the project. The practical part covers the actual set-up of the winery according to the business plan structure as well as a comprehensive financial plan. The economic viability and DCF valuation of the project is assessed based on this plan in order to offer a share of the company to the investor.

Next part is devoted to legal requirements for establishing of an estate agency and absence of regulations for new reality agents entering the Czech reality market. The practical part consists of a business plan with regards to the limited budget. Furthermore, the practical part deals with detailed description of services which the estate agency will provide, marketing communication and financial plan, which points to profitability of the new entrepreneurship.
