Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Entendimentos dos mecanismos e causas dos movimentos tectônicos têm preocupado muito a raça humana, não somente no que se refere a catástrofes naturais, bem como a proteção e manutenção de estruturas de engenharia e a morfologia de fundo e sub-fundo em diversos locais da crosta terrestre. O presente trabalho visa a ilustrar feições estruturais decorrentes de movimentos tectônicos, enfocando mais a parte de estruturas que podem exemplificar movimentos tectônicos recentes. A área de estudo está localizada bem próxima a prolífica Bacia de Campos no estado do Rio de Janeiro, mais precisamente na plataforma rasa ao largo da ponta do Pai Vitório em Búzios-RJ. A prospecção geofísica foi feita utilizando-se um perfilador de sub-fundo da Edgetech, o Geostar SB-216S na intenção de se identificar e mapear feições estruturais decorrentes de movimentos tectônicos recentes. Perfis sismicos paralelos (dip) e perpendiculares (strike) à Falha do Pai Vitório (Heilbron, 1982) foram obtidos e analisados. No presente trabalho somente encontra-se resultados parciais que já se apresentaram bem satisfatórios na exemplificação das feições estruturais de movimentos tectônicos recentes. / The understanding of the mechanisms e causes of the tectonic movements has much worried the human race, not only in concern of natural catastrophic events, as well as the protection and maintenance of engineering structures and bottom and sub-bottom morphology in many places of the earths crust. This present work aims to illustrate structural features originated from tectonic movements, focusing more in the recent tectonic movements examples. The area of this present work is located very close to the prolific Campos Basin in Rio de Janeiro state, more precisely on the shallow platform area offshore of Ponta do Pai Vitório in Búzios-RJ. The geophysical prospection was done using a sub-bottom profiler from Edgetech, the Geostar SB-216S with the intention of identification and mapping the structural features originated by recent tectonic movements. Seismic profiles dip (parallel) and strike (perpendicular) of the Pai Vitórios fault (Heilbron, 1982) were obtained and analised. In this present work is only parcial results which are well satisfactory in the exemplification of the structural features from recent tectonic movements.
